I made this post back on April 2nd. But really I have been saying this since Nate McMillan went to Portland.

I made this post for another thread but it works for this thread too.

I think Bill Laimbeer deserves a shot to coach in the NBA.

He knows what direction he wants to go.

He isn't afraid to throw his weight around.

and he isn't afraid to speak his mind.

And although he might not have been well like around the league when he was playing.

The guy knows how to coach.

In fact he has two of these WNBA trophies and one other finals appearance.

Bill also played a good chunk of his career for one of the best NBA coaches Chuck Daley.

See if you can find Chuck Daley in this picture.

Bill won two championships as a player has won two championships as a coach in the WNBA. After all people claim the WNBA is "more a team game".

The guy knows his hoops and isn't going to take crap from players. He deserves a shot and that comes from a guy who wasn't even a Pistons fan growing up.

I have nothing against Scott Brooks I think he has done a fine job but I would can his but in a second to give Bill Laimbeer a job. But that's just me.

I'd love to have him as an assistant Yoshi but I have a feeling he is looking for a head coaching gig.
