OT: Players picking where they play
Is it just me or is this getting out of hand. Today alone I have seen like 5 players say I dont want to play for a certain team. Three of them (Thabeet, Rubio, Curry) have said no to Memphis. Granted, I wouldnt want to play there either but this is ridiculous. I'm tired of hearing about players not wanting to play somewhere. You are going to be making good money where ever you go so get over it. If you dont like where you are playing leave in 3 years or whenever you contract is up. This isnt free agency, this is the draft. Players dont pick teams in the draft, the teams pick the players. If you dont like where you go and dont play, you dont get paid (unless you already have a contract overseas). The worst thing is none of the players who have stated they dont want to play for a certain team is they arent going to come in and dominate. I'm just tired of hearing about all of this. Any thoughts?

It does seem like there has been more of that this year than in the past. I don't know if you've got Memphis at the top and the combination of ownership, city and record in so unappealling or what. But it seems that a good share of the top players have made some sort of demand, although most haven't actually been the player, it's either been an agent or in Thabeet's case, just pure speculation.

The way Memphis has treated and dealt some of their players, it's not surprising. STill very sad to see. You want every draft choice to be so happy about reaching the dream of playing in the NBA that the'd start off anywhere.
At least it might just help out the Thunder
