Raps Fan Here
this will be my first topic- don't eat me

question is: how good is Serge Ibaka?
because i keep hearing that he is a FREAK athlete and a good defender?
i have never seen him play
and you tube is not a great enough source
i was just wondering because everywhere i read it says- OKC needs a center
but i thought you guys had a solid player coming up in Ibaka.

BTW you guys are my favourite upcoming team ! I love how your team is coming along !
ALSO if i did anything wrong in this thread, you may let me know
help is always needed on this site *-)

Ibaka's definitely no center. He was being routinely muscled around in Summer League. There are a lot of OKC fans that are pretty high on him despite his youth and lack of real production against NBA talent, but he's probably a few years away if anything.

I think Ibaka is probably more of a power forward than a center. The current Thunder center rotation is basically just Krstic and Collison (maybe Mullens will get a few minutes too).

Btw, you did fine in creating your first thread :) Hopefully you'll always feel welcome dropping back in!

thanks wizkid!
i guess thats why you guys are looking for a long term solid center
makes sense- Cole Aldrich is a upcoming center in next years draft
ALSO
although mullens is a project , how is his potential ? in a overall players point of view

A lot of people see Mullens as a potential star down the line. Personally, I think his upside is similar to Chris Andersen right now. I'm not saying I don't think he'll be any good, I just don't see, even with his physical tools, how he can become some type of dominant post player. He could definitely be a very good backup PF/C, and for where he was drafted, that would be just fine with me.
