Game #8 Oklahoma City Thunder @ Los Angeles Clippers

Post#1 » by Joel Embust » Wed Nov 11, 2009 10:47 pm

Have you seen the Clippers' starting unit / rotation? (No Gordon, Griffin)

There's no reason why the Thunder can't beat them.

Probable lineups:

Thunder

Russell Westbrook
Thabo Sefolosha
Kevin Durant
Jeff Green
Nenad Krstic

Clippers

Baron Davis
Rasual Butler
Al Thornton
Marcus Camby
Chris Kaman

I expect to see a lineup of Davis/Davis/Butler/Thornton/Kaman a lot out there.

I'm gonna leave this up here, I don't have time to make the game thread tonight.

Chris Kaman has been fantastic so far.. I think this is a tough game especially after last night's lazy effort.

Another ugly start, down 8-3. 1-7 from the field, throwing up lots of bricks.

KD having a good first quarter, at least trying to get to the line or take it to the rack.

The rest of the team is looking horrible on offense..

Tied at 22 after one, some shaky defense especially on the interior. Very poor shooting by Westbrook and Green.. the bench is playing good, Harden came in and made some plays, and even Ollie has looked OK.

Some nice bench play, James Harden making things happen on both ends. Gets it to Ollie for a three point play.

Harden has really been impressing me lately. He's not scoring as much as I thought he would, but his maturity is at least as good as advertised.

Yeah I like how Harden plays, he knows how to set guys up.

This is just a really bad road team.. I hope Brooks gets into these guys after this back to back about how the offense has been.

I hate that play. Durant at mid court waiting till the clock goes down. Thats not Durant's game...

Well... the ball movement at least looked a little improved from last game. The offense doesn't look great by any means, just not quite as disjointed as last night.

Even the announcer said "Westbrook is just out of control out there". It takes an act of God for those guys to say anything negative at all, so that's a pretty big statement to me.

48-43 at the half; RW is playing horribly on both ends, looks disinterested. KD is carrying the team on his shoulders and the bench has been alright.

I'm really disappointed in Westbrook. As much as we thought he had improved in those first two games, it's apparent that he's still a long ways away from being a starting quality point guard for a winning team. Not many good PG's, even when they are having bad days, have such a negative impact on the game like Westbrook does when he's not making his shots or finding teammates.

The thing with Westbrook right now is that he seems to be in some type of limbo between the things he did well last year and the things he did well to start this year. He's not the effective slasher/athlete he was last season because he's trying to throttle himself and play under control. Somehow I think that is unnatural for him, so he's not able to do the things he was almost a lock to do last year, like going to the rim and finishing hard. I think he might just be over thinking the game right now.

yep, Westbrook is getting worse and worse. he was great the first 2 games, but has been pretty bad since. I wonder if he is getting coached too much.

They're getting stops but nobody is doing anything on offense but Durant.

Is Kyle Weaver in the dog house? Last I remember he plays good defense and said he worked on his shot this summer.
