Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Washington Wizards 11/20/09

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Fri Nov 20, 2009 10:34 pm

Another late day at work, won't be able to put up the game thread.

Washington looked great against Cleveland, better not let our guard down against this team. My boy Brendan Haywood has been the man, still hoping we can sign him this offseason.

Russell Westbrook thinks he's Dell Curry.

It's nice to see the offense play so well but we're not going to win this kind of game against Washington, the defense the last six minutes of the quarter was atrocious.

See what happens when you take it to the hole Jeff Green!

On the flip side it'd be nice if he were playing some defense. Scottie has got to get a fire lit under these guys on defense or this game is going to go down the tubes right as our shots quit going in.

Man I hate it when Durant just tries to take over and either takes a stupid contested shot, steps out of bounds, passes it into the stands. Everyone's been making shots tonight, this clown has to learn how to share the ball.

Well it's been a complete 180 in this half, the offense brought it but the defense just wasn't there. I thought the backcourt did okay on defense but the front court was really lousy. Can't really rag on Jeff Green too much with 17 and 10 in the half but he's got to tighten down on defense, same with KD and the big guys. Washington is carving us up with the mid range game, and what are the odds of us shooting this well all day?

It's really cool to see James Harden shooting the ball so well also..

Washington's in the penalty with almost 6 minutes left, gotta take advantage of this.

Getting killed on the boards all of a sudden, where''s Jeff Green? They've gotten 9 second chance points in the 3rd, we should be up by 12-15..

Lonely game thread! 9 point lead going into the fourth. Winnable game for sure, just hoping the well doesn't run dry on offense because it's been a trial on the other end.

Jeff Green has completely disappeared. I don't think he has registered a point, rebound, assist, block, or steal in the second half.

I have a huge headache whenever I watch TV lately for some reason so i have just been checking the boxscore here and there, but it looks like we are hitting our shots but playing crap defense.

Im dre_1614 btw I made a new id.

The defense has improved in the second half.

James Harden has 16 points on 5 shots and Kevin Durant has rebounded from a so-so start with lots of turnovers and is taking smarter shots.

But yeah the defense has picked up, aided somewhat by some dubious decisions on the Washington side of the ball.

James Harden has found his stroke. Man he is on fire. 21 points on 7 shot attempts, pretty groovy.

Boxscore says the lineup out right now is...

Westbrook
Harden
Sefolosha
Durant
Green

how do they look together? Seems like a lineup for quick offense and no post defense and rebounding heh.

Wizards won't go away, I don't think I'd feel safe with a 15 point lead the way this team plays in crunch time.
