Oklahoma City Thunder @ Phoenix Suns 12/23/09

Post#1 » by slick_watts » Thu Dec 24, 2009 12:11 am

Will fill out the thread later..

James Harden homecoming, wonder if there will be many ASU fans in the house.

Nice schedule after this one, would be great to steal a game here but I just don't see it happening.

From twitter

"Just finished my physical in oklahoma city. Now off to phx for the game 2nite"

That was about 4 hours ago. Not sure if that means that hell suit up or not, but it looks like he'll at least be there.

Maynor with a couple nice plays..

36 points in the quarter, don't think we can win a game like this against Phoenix they have only taken two threes so far, they'll be bombing away for sure.

Up 12 now. This kinda reminds me of last night. Hopefully they don't let this slip like they did against LA

Maynor has a extremely high BBall IQ you can just tell by watching him play for a couple minutes. Perfect compliment to Westbrook.

For all this talk about James Harden lacking athleticism boy he can get to the rim virtually at will....

We can't compete with them when Stoudamire and Nash are on the floor at the same time.

Killing us with the pick and roll..

Can't see us pulling this one out, all our bigs are going to be in foul trouble and I'll be shocked if we continue to shoot 55% from the field.

6:30 left, Thunder up 3. Nash and Amare just checked in. I'm guessing we lose this by at least 5

WOW KD clutch at the end and how about that put back by Green?! Would have been 1000 dollars against us winning this game at this pace.

Yeah we played Phoenix's game and came out on top. Clutch plays (Harden offensive rebound, Durant 22 footer, Green tip in) made it happen..

Wow. Great win giving us some momentum and confidence with some very winnable games coming up.
8 out of the next 9 games are against teams with losing records, the only other one being a very winnable game at home against Utah. It would be great if they could rip off about 6 or 7 wins in this stretch and get a couple game above .500 before a tough 4 game stretch with Dallas, SA, Miami and ATL.

I think this team has played about as well as anyone could have expected so far this season Especially this last stretch of 8 games that they went 3-5 on. They had a pretty brutal schedule but managed to compete pretty well.

The next stretch of games that Okie mentioned looks really favorable to the Thunder. They should really be able to make some head way as long as they can continue to bring the energy and effort that they have been recently.

If anyone said the Thunder will be 14 and 14 at Christmas every Thunder fan would have jumped all over it. Sure this team is young, makes mistakes and tends to stumble closing out games but it is a learning process and this team has shown they are doing what it takes to improve.

I'm 100% content where this team is on the floor. I'm not going to make a habit of nit picking this team when quite frankly they are playing above everyone's expectations.
