okay im beginning to wonder what will happen with jeff greens future with the thunder and our big man situation.... now before i start

yes i know him and KD are best friends. but this is a bussiness.not middle school.. so yeah...

okay now im gonna start by saying. that i think jeff green is a great player but him playing out of position is hurting our team because opposing PFs more often than not have a field day on him. now i know this is magnified by the fact that we also dont have a legit center. nenad is just a big wussy in my opinion. now one of two things needs to happen.

we get some real big men and move him to 6th man where he will thrive IMO.
or trade him and bring a good big man to this team to take us to next level

we have many assets we can trade starting with the expirings of harpring and tomas. the abundance of draft picks next year. and good cap to trade. i am aware we are probably not gonna take any albatross contract though.

i say that our first option is to try to get a center and see if jeff green works out. ( i really like him still) because it is still early in his career. who i see we should make a run at. these are all trades with teams that are looking to shed salary that might take a draft pick + expirings deal..
javale mcgee
brendan haywood
luis scola (maybe?)
mareese speights
okafor
milsap?

feel free to add anyone to any of these lists..

these are players that we could pursue in FA
boozer
stoudamire
lee
haywood

players that could maybe be acquired in a trade that included jeff green
al jefferson or kevin love
andrew bogut

Why Would their teams Give up on:
javale mcgee
brendan haywood (he is going to get PAID)
luis scola
mareese speights
milsap

These are players that are too expensive that will be FA's
BOSH
boozer
stoudamire
lee
haywood

players who are actually possibalities:
Okafor (Over the Cap)
West (Over the Cap)
Jamson (want to rebuild, and cut Areans)
Kaman (Trading him for an expiring deal gives them the ability to add a max contract.)
Lee (You can rent him for a year but, you will have to take Jared Jeffreis w/ him)

The line up we are looking forward to is:

Starting C
Staring PF
Kevin Durant
James Harden
Russell Westbrook

Bench:
Jeff Green
Thabo Sefolosha
Eric Maynor
Serge Ibaka

B.J. Mullens
D.J. White
Kyle Weaver

Now these are guys who we can and are moveable:
Etan Thomas Expiring Contract
Matt Harpring Expiring Contract + insurance pays 85% of his contract
Nick Collison 1 year left
Nenad Krstic 1 year left
Kevin Ollie Expiring Contract

Now reality is that we have Kristic and Collison in the spots of the Starting C and Starting PF. All reality is that they will make a splash for one big man. There is really no way possiable to add 2 big men. between cap space and everything. I think the Harpring situation is intresting. He can defentally be delt @ the trading deadline to make the new player come in at their cheapest point.

With that said; I think the organization does not want to add players with longer deals. First becasue they are extreamly difficult to move if it dosent work out and becasue the Thunder are going to have to extend Durant, Green, and Westbrook in the nxt two years.

So that knocks out Okafor.

Kaman and West would be ideal since they both have two years left and they can come cheap becasue the teams are trying to move money.

Jamson is Jeff Green 10 years from now, so I think he could really add value as a leader and to help Jeff.

Lee is a walking double-double, but you will have to eat 9 million to get him in here in Jeffreis.

problem with david lee is that his stats are deceiving((more so than just being a dantoni center).. if you watch him in a game. he goes out of his way just to be ready to get a rebound where he knows its gonna be.. now while that is a good thing its also a bad thing because a lot of the time its before the ball is shot. and his man is often open. david lee's defence is ATROCIOUS.. and that makes me think he wouldnt fit here.

jamison would be a pretty expensive mentor IMO. also the fact that you mentioned collison and krstic made me remember that people will also be looking to shed cap next year and those guys are about 11~ million so maybe we can do something next year if this year doesnt work out for us. but i dont know. im pretty sure presti has a plan with all these draft picks this year and we dont really want those draft picks. but im sure someone is looking to get younger and rebuild already. advantage presti

I totally aggree. I just know that they are not moving:
Kevin Durant
James Harden
Russell Westbrook
Jeff Green
Thabo Sefolosha
Eric Maynor
Serge Ibaka

But, the goal is to add a Front Line to run with these guys. Because Mullens and White arent going to be the answer for a couple of years. So that Is why it is more likley to Rent a player rather than sign a Max guy.
