Long work day won't be able to fill in the game thread..

Big game for Dallas they will come out fighting after losing a couple. They are tough at home and Dirk Nowitzki schooled us in the last game.

I hope we see some tinkering with the rotation, especially with the starters. Our starting lineup has been very ineffective.

Nice first half. One of the better halves of basketball overall from our offense, James Harden is knocking down threes, Jeff Green had some contribution.. Russ has been awesome with the mid range game. 48% from the field against a good defense team.

Defense was great for 1.5 quarters and slacked off a bit to end the half. We started making stupid switches where Dirk ended up guarded by a guard and he'd score every time. That's how he killed us last game, he was in check for most of this one until we started with that nonsense. I hope they stop it.

I think we're set up good for the 2nd half, we withstood a Dallas run. We have to stay focused on defense and limit mistakes on offense. Kevin Durant in particular forced some offense a bit in the first half, which he didn't really need to do with our shooters (Harden in particular) shooting so well..

Kid keep making the big plays.

Durant keeps turning it over granted TO #8 was a savy play by Kidd but still 8 is stupid

We lose again because we don't know how to operate at the end of games. Our situational awareness on offense in crunch time is the worst I've ever seen. Nobody knows what to do if a play breaks down, we almost never end up with a high percentage shot if our first option is denied.

I blame this on the coaching. For a team that tends to execute so well on defense, even in crunch time, our execution on the offensive end is very poor.

Its probably because all off-season coach was talking about improving the defense and working on that, they probably didn't focus that much attention on the offensive end. I dont like the fact that we suck at end of game offense, but id rather be good on defense and suck on offense, than the other way around right now. We are a young team, with a young coach, it will get better look at the positives :)

I watched the game from the Dallas Mavs broadcast. Their commentators are probably the 2 best commentators that I've heard in the NBA. And they couldn't say it better.
Mavs Commentators (during the 4th quarter)
"Now Durant needs to be more agressive. Now that's Russell Westbrook's job, him being a combo guard and not a true point guard hurts their team during these points of the game."

Jeff Green needs to be traded or put on the bench. Him starting is a joke.
