The upcoming schedule is beyond tough. Someone mentioned that they see a big drop off coming after the break and after seeing the schedule it's hard not to agree. Check this
Feb 16. Dal then.....
Feb 20. @ NY b2b
Feb 21. @ Min one day
Feb 23. PHX b2b
Feb 24. @ SA one day
Feb 26. Min one day
Feb 28. Tor one day
Mar 2. Sac b2b
Mar 3. @ Den one day
Mar 5. @ LAC one day
Mar 7. @ Sac
I could keep going because until the end of the year we only have two breaks bigger than a day, a two dayer and a 3 dayer. We'll have to do well to keep up this pace, but we'll see how we go.

Re: Schedule
Based on games that we "should" win and lose based on who will probably be favored.
Dallas - loss
NY - win
Min - win
PHX - win
SA - loss
Min - win
Tor - win
Sac - win
Den - loss
Lac - win
Sac - win
Its really not that significant or bad for a team only two have a one day break. You do realize that most of the teams we play too are also either playing a back to back or only have had 1 days rest right?
That schedule isn't really all that rough. We get then 2nd worst team based on record twice, a bad Sacramento team twice, and bad Knicks and Clippers team. Those should be 6 wins. Toronto and Phoenix I'd put down for a loss on the road, but we should be able to handle them at home. Dallas, at San Antonio, and at Denver are the only games that actually look to be "beyond tough."
Realistically, if we play like we have been lately there is no reason why OKC can't go 8-3 during this stretch. Thats a big IF though in my opinion as I see us coming back to earth for a while.

We're favored to win the next four games by SRS.. Dallas will be tough. So will Phoenix.

Re: Schedule
I have to say I think that is a pretty favorable schedule too.
Anyone (Slick) know where to find strength of schedule up to this point and strength of schedule beyong this point?

Re: Schedule
I googled it and came up with this:
http://www.teamrankings.com/nba/ranking ... am&pan=412
It has OKC listed as having the hardest schedule thus far (making the big assumption that I'm reading it correctly!)
Probably a bit of a more mainstream site (ESPN), says our opponents from thus far in the season are tied for 5th best record and that (given the current standings). It also has us at 8th in RPI (basically how well we've done related to how good our opponents are). This is the RPI stat that is used in college basketball.

Re: Schedule
the toughest part of the schedule is at the end of the season.
last 14 games of season............
vs San Antonio 2nd game back to back
vs Houston
vs Los Angeles Lakers
vs Portland
@ Philadelphia
@ Boston 2nd game back to back
@ Dallas
vs Minnesota 2nd game back to back
@ Utah
vs Denver 2nd game back to back
vs Phoenix
@ Golden State
@ Portland 2nd game back to back
vs Memphis
YIKES!!!!!!
go look at that again, yeah that is extremely tough. We better get on a roll to start the 2nd half of the season or else we might not even make the playoffs. I think we go 6-8 during that stretch, and that's being generous .
