Thunder's standing

Right now, the Thunder are in 6th place in the west, which is not bad by any means, especially if you consider how bad they were last year. Still, I think the Thunder should get a number 4 seed this year. The Lakers are 1, the Nuggets are 2, but after those 2 teams I really dont see any team beeing better right now than the Thunder. The Jazz are now 3rd and they are winning lots of games lately, but are they really better than the Thunder?? I dont think so. 4th seed is Dallas, who I would consider to be equal to the Thunder.
Therefore I think at the end of regular season it should (SHOULD) look like this:

1.Lakers
2.Nuggets
3.Dallas
4.Thunder
5.Jazz
6.Phoenix
7.Portland
8.Spurs

I just checked that the Jazz started the season with:
19-17 (52.8%)
and since then they are:
17-3 (85%)

The Thunder started:
13-14 (48.1%)
and are since that:
20-8 (71.4%)

The four spot is possible but it's going to be really tough.

Each division winner is guaranteed a top 4 seed depending on their record.

I think it is safe to say the Lakers have the #1 wrapped up. Dallas will get a top four seed. And chances are Denver is going to roll into the playoffs with a top 4 seed because of their record.

The only way the Thunder get a top four seed is if they can win their division which is possible but really tough considering how well Denver and Utah are playing.

They might be able to catch one but both is going to be hard as hell.

And if they aren't able to catch either Utah or Denver, even if they have a better record than Dallas, Dallas will get the other guaranteed spot because they are their divisional winner.

So I'm thinking the 5 seed is likely the highest the Thunder get.
