I remember last off-season I read an article stating Presti really wanted to sign Varejao but didn't because he would have destroyed his friends team(Ferry).
It makes sense too, he is a great defender especially on the pick and roll, can guard multiple positions, is scrappy, and is efficient.

Not sure OKC can afford Varejao at that price, and isn't Collison the same type of player anyway?

true, but I think Varejao could guard bigger guys a bit better. But I wouldnt want to replace him id try and replace Krstic first.
Cavs wouldnt give him up but would have been nice last off-season...
If LeBron leaves this summer, any chance Ferry blows up the team and rebuilds?

Andy's a very underrated player.
He doesn't start, play a ton of minutes, or put up huge numbers. Of course he does finish games, the Cavaliers are crazy deep, and his contribution doesn't always show up in the box score.
I'm from Cleveland and can promise you that Andy gets us two or three possessions a game that aren't recorded as a stat. Every team should have a guy like Andy.
At 6-11 he's also the perfect 3rd big so prying him away from the Cavaliers wouldn't be easy.

The Cavs crazy deep??
You're joking right?
The Red Mop is horrible. I like my players to play through contract not pretend that it happened when it didn't.
And the two three possesions that the Red Mop gives you is nothing more than what Nick Collison brings nightly.

I imagine Varejao caring more about being overpaid than team success, as evidenced by his actions not so long ago. I don't want a guy like that on this team.
