I am a single guy in his 20's and was wondering if there is an area downtown or close to it that I can walk around(no car) daily for necessity type of things plus some luxury things? Things like grocery shopping, a mall, some restaurants, and a bus system that can take me to the Ford Center? Reason I ask is because I have heard it's very hard to get around without a car in Oklahoma City.

Appreciate it.

I would agree with what you've heard that OKC isn't exactly a no-car city. That said, you'd do alright around the Bricktown area. That's generally where all of the entertainment stuff is, and probably caters a bit more towards living without a car than other areas of the city. A lot of that depends upon where you work and what you like to do, but I would think that you could live down in Bricktown and be able to survive about as well as in most similarly-sized cities.

This is next to Bricktown, which is filled with restaurants, movie theatre, night clubs, our minor league ball park, and the Ford Center.

I've no idea about shopping.

Run this address for Deep Deuce through Google Maps ..

314 NE 2nd Oklahoma City, OK 73104

You will see the Ford, the ballpark which is in Bricktown, and the proximity to downtown. It looks like Deep Deuce is 5 blocks from the Ford Center.

I've seen other buildings in the Bricktown area that look like they may be apartments, but I'm not sure of everything that is there.

If you really interested, go here and ask. http://www.okcthunderfans.com/vforum/index.php I think there's members of that forum who live in Bricktown . I'm sure there's members who know all about living there.

Now that my youngest is out of high school, I would not mind living in that area.
