Sign and Trade with San Antionio for Tiago Splitter.

The Spurs can't offer any more than the MLE apparently, and it's doubtful that amount would get Splitter to the NBA. What are the thoughts here on doing a S&T with San Antonio for Splitter, say something like 3 years at $7mm per?
Personally, I'd rather have Splitter on the roster to continue to develop alongside Ibaka et al., rather than spend ridiculous amounts on a Bosh or Amar'e (both of whom are overrated and not worth the money IMO).

i wouldnt mind it at all
dont know much about Splitter but Ibaka has been a revelation so trying out lower picked overseas prospects could be very good
what would SA want?

Hard to say how much he is worth considering he has no NBA experience to look at, and I don't think SA would let him go for cheap either. If we can keep it low risk, then sure, but otherwise I am hesitant.

absorbing some salary and getting them under lux next year could work (after they re-sign Manu and others along with the declining luxury tax line they could be over)
as always im willing to offer Green
maybe ill ask the SA board

Splitter shoots very high percentages in euroball but I'd be concerned about his rebounding a little bit. How much better is he than Krstic? It'd be a huge risk to acquire him.

not that huge a risk and risks are going to be necessary
depends what we have to give up
honestly I have no idea how good a prospect he is though so im relying on others testimony here
who is the go to splitter guy here?
ive heard him compared to a center version of Scola which would be perfect

Splitter would require a big commitment $$$ wise to come here. And we'd have to send assets to the Spurs. I'm not sure he's worth that amount when we don't know how he'd perform. Houston comparitively didn't have to give up all that much for Scola..

true but if we could guarntee he was as good as scola itd be worth it assuming we didnt have to give up any major pieces
theres a lot of options this is one of them i suppose though it seems like a presti like move to me

Splitter is a beast on both ends. He's great around the rim, has a solid post game and is a very good rebounder. Us Spurs fans really want to want to bring him over and pair him with Duncan.

assuming you couldnt bring him over for whatever reason what combination of draft picks/taking on salary/prospects would be enough for you guys
