I am very content. Our swimmers have been a disappointment (expect Steffen of coz), but our shooters were ok and our fencers, divers and equestrians were phenomenal. For week 2, I expect a steady medal flow of our two super disciplines, namely rowing and canoeing, and maybe something good from athletics and some odd disciplines (trampoline, archery...)
BIGGEST SURPRISE
Britta Steffen winning gold for a hugely sucky swimming squad, and after being LAST after 50m in her 100m freestyle race. But she sure knows how to finish!
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
Our super-shooter world champion Sonja Pfeilschifter choking yet again after 2000 and 2004. She is simply allergic to Olypmics.
RANDOM STRANGE MOMENT
Our Olympic wild water canoe gold prospects, who were 1st after the 1st run, SUNK in the 2nd and had to swim out.
