Japan also lost to Poland in volleyball. Thought the score showed Japan winning the fourth set (27-25) but when i refreshed Poland won that set 28-26, and the game?!

Was just live score viewing so didn’t know what happened there, if a point was overturned or something.

This is infuriating, shameful, and flat out **** dangerous. Has no place in fairness in sport but IOC has instructed commentators to not be addressing it.

Didn't realize that Poland is #1 in world ranking, though I knew they were near the top.

The surprise is learning Japan is #3.

South Korea Archery Women team just won gold for the 10th time in a row, every time since the event was created.

Can't wait for Track. Women's races are compelling in practically every event and some are just absolutely insane like the 400m hurdles between Sydney Mclaughlin-Levrone and Femke Bol where you have a generational talent vs a once in 100 years type talent. But the relays are gonna be awesome too and there are some absolutely generational young talents.

On the men's side the 200m should be great, and the 800m could be one of the craziest races in history at that distance. Then you have Ingebrigtsen in the mid distances as another generational, special talent.

I was a bit worried about Simone Biles since we didnt really know her current level but she's squashed all doubts by qualifying for all the finals, even though her ankle is clearly bothering her.

I expect at least 3 gold medals from Marchand. First one tonight should be the "easiest".

Women's Soccer is fun! 6-5 for Australia with game almost done. They were down 4-5, with 20 min to go.

And i bet over 10.5. LOL

Went exactly as expected, could have beaten his own WR but he's got the OR and he was so far ahead it doesnt matter.

Just so proud of Australia already. I know after swimming is done we usually drop quite a bit, but Fox today winning was special, and the Matilda’s coming back to win

As an american/french/korean guy, I find Australia very annoying right now

I liked the creativity and concept in general, but there were parts that were distasteful. That was one of them.

It was wildly offensive to an entire religion. And completely unnecessary

To me it's less about the offense, but more the audacity to think that's what the average viewer wants or cares about. It's visually offensive and just unappealing to most of us. Drag belongs on the fringes, where it can be subversive and strange and that's great... the opening ceremony of the Olympics? Out of touch.

Slow start for Team USA on the gold front. But outside of the cheaters in China nobody else really will come close to our total gold medal count in the end once it all settles in a couple of weeks.

I'm just about as looney left as an American can be and I absolutely agree that this is wrong.
From a fundamental standpoint it is better for a man to have nothing but be under the protection of Jesus Christ than for him to have everything he could ever want yet be completely without.

Rugby 7s is fun. It's just a shame that it was so early in the Olympic calendar that it's almost already over.

I watched the opening ceremony and turned on the games the next morning (PST) to get France v Fiji Gold Medal Match. I was like "wtf!? did I sleep for a week?"
