What's funny is that the last time Harden was on the National Team he actually did play defense and it carried over into the next season.

Argentina's offense is just playing into what team USA wants. Tough threes and little movement. This is nothing like Australia/Serbia/Spain

Scola always spins the same way. I like his game a lot usually but it is amazing he could make it to the NBA without a post move that has him spinning to use his left hand to finish.

Sort of. Argentina isn't very good so we should be whipping their butts. Spain's gonna be a whole different beast. Might actually be able to beat us after all these years.

Depending on how the garbagetime goes it may obscure their +/- contributions, but despite minimal statistical contributions, after the Durant/George/Cousins trio it was Butler and Lowry who really made a difference here by roleplayering up. Too few guys have been willing to do that with this team.

So keep my expectations low. Got it!

What's the deal with Argentina? Has age caught up with them? I saw some comments about depth and I don't think that I recognized any names at a quick glance.

No idea what the crowd is saying, but they seem really enthusiastic.

I'm not worried about our offense. This team still needs to tighten up in a big way on D.

I can't believe how useless Draymond looks out there.

I wish that we had crowds like this in the United States. Not just for basketball, but for all sports. The closest thing that we probably have is NCAA Football.

Age, no size, no depth. They came out really strong, led 19-9, and totally fell apart.

Spain had a much better team in 2008 and 2012 (US too). Spain will be tougher than Arg but his chances to win are very very low.

As you note, same could be said of us. This team isn't nearly on the same level as 08 and 12, either in terms of talent or teamwork. We should still be big favorites but it feels like we're ripe to be beaten with our weak defense.
