I'd love to see Doncic vs Team USA in the final

Clown team well suited for their annoying fans.

Never ceases to amaze me how true Americans play to their stereotype.

I mean part of me wants to see Luka try to completely take down the world on his way to a gold, but I'd also like to see the USA revenge game against France. Like the announcers said, three of our core players (Booker, Middleton, and Holiday) arrived the morning of our loss to France in pool play while losing nearly an entire day due to the time zone change.

Luka terrifies me. We didn't even play a very good game and we had France beat. Plus, as you note, we were missing some key guys. I think I'd take my chances with them.

You might just be getting old and bitter bro.

I might, but it was objectively amazing to watch the Dream Team do their work in the Olympics (I can link you, if you have forgotten or never seen). This is just a boring basketball game where one team is clearly better than the other and is grinding out a win. Doesn't help that most of the players don't even care to join, to be fair.

you shouldn't talk trash like that, when you know there is a big chance you will lose in a blowout. This was probably the funeral for this Australian team. Time for a new generation.

Yeh that one hurt.

That run we had early on in the game would’ve beat 99% of teams and probably get a 20+ point lead. KD kept the score tight and was hitting some tough shots (as he does) with great d on him. We needed to close the 2nd quarter and go into the half up 10+ to have a chance.

USA then just turned up the d in the second half and couldn’t miss from 3.

Great game from KD, Holiday and Book.

Boomers put on a show in the first half. I was really excited to see a slug fest in the 4th but USA found their jumper and Jrue was a maniac on defense.

It really says a lot about what a special athlete Zach Levine is, that among that group of players he still stands out.

Good luck in the bronze medal game. Patty Mills deserves more than anyone a medal in the olympics, and this is probably his last chance. I don't like Ingles/Delly but I absolutely love Patty. Hope he gets his medal.

Zach had some clutch defensive plays also imo. His athleticism gave us some juice to turn up the pressure. Turning Australia over so much in the 3rd changed the game.

You played a team 6X your population at their best sport. It shouldn't hurt, it's just a bad draw. Don't count on us to defeat you in Australian Rules football any time soon.

Australia's coach is a moron. Goulding, Kay, and Dellavedova are absolute scrubs of the highest order. Not one of them could make the rotation of a club in a second tier European league. Easily 3 of the worst players at the Olympics.

Yet the coach played them a total of 60 minutes...........extremely stupid coaching. None of those three should ever be on the floor against any decent FIBA national team.

As far as the USA goes, Lillard is a gigantic negative every time he's on the court, in every game. He's rapidly heading to replace Giannis and D. Sabonis as the worst NBA FIBA player of all time.

I mean based on how Lillard played so far in these Olympics, not even the worst team in EuroLeague would touch him. He's been so bad in this tournament, it's actually a bit hard to put into words.
