As Slovenian, I’m really flattered that so many on this forum are so scared and afraid of Luka and Slovenian basketball NT. And really needed this moment to feel better themselves.

As far the tournament goes, they will be our winner no matter what will happen in match for 3rd place. It is just a shame because I don’t know if we will ever have such chance to play in the final of the OG. I actually hope that we will have anytime in the future a chance to play Olympics again. Because in the future there will be no guarantee that Luka will be avaliabke to play in Olimpic qualifucations…

Why would Slovenia do that? He's the reason why Slovenia qualifed for the Olympics in the first place.

The Best Basketball player isn't at the Olympics. KD is the best player on the team, but Jrue is the most important.

USA has a million good shooters and scorers, they only have 1 great defensive wing who looks to not just get his own.

There is a reaon USA struggled much more until he arrived.

Not a single one of those “million good shooters and scorers” was doing a damn thing vs Australia in the first half while KD was keeping the US from getting blown out

Holidays contribution to the team is much easier to replace than Durants

I dont understand the hate for Luka. Literally everyone here before the game wanted Luka vs USA. That says alot about a 22 year old playing for his country. He had a crappy shooting night but he also went up against a great team that beat a US team in this competition already. Dame has been having a mediocre competition so far amongst other US players. Last time i checked, Slovenia doesnt have as much talent on their team as US but he still took this team to the semis. Appreciate him for carrying his team rather than hating on him.

Yeah, I don’t quite get it either. He shots like sht, and he was way too nonchalant on that last possession, but nearly 20 assists in a 40-minute game is high, high level floor generalship. Slovenia has some solid players, especially for such a tiny country, but they wouldn’t have even been there without him, let alone as competitive as they were. He just has a feel for the game that very, very few players have.

Now this part I get. He spent pretty much the entire game scowling and bitching at the refs and that’s something he’s going to need to get a handle on.
