Are people hating? I’m not seeing it but Luka is Luka… amazing player, does a few things that can be seen as annoying but he’s still amazing.

The game was amazing and it’s not like he did anything wrong asides from maybe shooting poorly.

Pretty incredible that France shot 48% from 3 and 84.2% from the FT line, while Slovenia shot 33% and 55%... and it was still a 1 point game. That's the most frustrating part, Slovenia should have gotten this.

Slovenia really should have won if they were just average from the FT line or even a little below average for their standards. Luka, despite what was thrown at him, had some looks as well but didn’t make them. It was a really, really good game; a seven game series between these two would be immensely fun to watch.

France shot 38% from 2 and 48% from 3, weird game for them offensively. Luwawu Cabarrot stepped up big for them, he got some crucial backets in the first quarter when it seemed like Slovenia would open a big lead, he played solid D and he hit the biggest shot from France late. De Colo stepped up big time after his horrible quarterfinal. Batum and Gobert were the defensive anchors, and obviously batum's last second block was immense.

Fournier with a good game overall, but that offensive foul was incredibly dumb. Batum bailed him out, he owes him big.

Prepelic has been the biggest fool's gold player in Europe for years. He plays bad literally any time something is on the line. Some EuroLeague teams were foolish enough to sign him, and they always got rid of him quite fast.

If the US don’t get the gold comfortably it’s a massive choke job.

I dont understand the hate for Luka. Literally everyone here before the game wanted Luka vs USA. That says alot about a 22 year old playing for his country. He had a crappy shooting night but he also went up against a great team that beat a US team in this competition already. Dame has been having a mediocre competition so far amongst other US players. Last time i checked, Slovenia doesnt have as much talent on their team as US but he still took this team to the semis. Appreciate him for carrying his team rather than hating on him.

And with 18 assist he is the second of all time, knocking Nash to the third place

Law of averages applies to independent variables which means that the history does not influence current odds at all. Just like after ten heads on a far coin throw, probability to role a head is again 1/2.

As Slovenian, I’m really flattered that so many on this forum are so scared and afraid of Luka and Slovenian basketball NT. And really needed this moment to feel better themselves.

As far the tournament goes, they will be our winner no matter what will happen in match for 3rd place. It is just a shame because I don’t know if we will ever have such chance to play in the final of the OG. I actually hope that we will have anytime in the future a chance to play Olympics again. Because in the future there will be no guarantee that Luka will be avaliabke to play in Olimpic qualifucations…

They can always talk to Nigeria's federation and learn how they get around FIBA's rules, to have 10-12 Americans on all of their rosters. And then they could have Luka and 11 Americans.

So happy after such a win. A win versus a really good team with a great leader. Luka's performance was amazing, once again. With a good defense he did 5/18, but was still dangerous and made so many good assists. He gave so many good assists to Mike "show me Slovenia on a map" Tobey, that he made him an elite scorer.
France did his special game :
A bad 1st quarter
A good defense for the 2nd
A gap in the 3rd
A tie game with 2 minutes remaining
A very clutch action to win the game

I hope Slovenia will win bronze, even his Doncic disappointed me with his words during and after rhe game. Individually I really like some Australian players (Ingles, Thybulle, Mills), but as a team, they don't show a basketball as beautiful as slovenian game.
