I'm willing to bet he could pull off a 9.50. The guy had his arms out and pounded his fist to chest twice before the finish line.

Not to mention he's the only athlete this year to have 3 subpar 9.80 times in the same year...

The man is getting faster with every race...9.76, 9.72, 9.69.

Shawn Johnson and Nastia go two, three in floor exercise finals. Silver for Shawn this time around.

May/Walsh will still win, but I hope Xue/Zhang Xi isn't in the same bracket as May/Walsh so maybe they can meet in the finals. Both Xue and Zhang look pretty damn hot, especially Xue. And both possess great tatas  :kiss :rocking:

Also Jamaican women sweep the 100m finals! Nice!

I'm extremely disappointed in the US Women's swim team. We needed a lot better than two golds from them. That was a poor showing.

Are May/Walsh that much better? Xue/Zhang isn't even the top seeded Chinese team.

May/Walsh have won 106 consecutive matches. They have won 15 consecutive beach volley tournaments. They have won every single set in every Olympics they have participated in beach volleyball.

Darn, just saw the semis draw and its China vs China and US vs Brazil. So an all Chinese finals isn't possible. :( On the other hand, China is guaranteed a silver in beach volleyball which is a great accomplishment. :)

I hope Xue Chen / Zhang Xi win as I love watching them play almost as much as May/Walsh and it would be cool to see those two teams in the finals battling it out.

It counted, but she got more than a 16 on her first one, the average was still more than Alicia's.

You could question if she should have gotten a 15.5 since she landed on her knees however.

The Chinese gymnast's vault difficulty was high at 6.5, so theoretically if she did it perfectly, she could get a score of 16.5. So taking away the 0.8 deduction for not landing on your feet, she got 15.7 minus some other deductions and you end up with 15.5.

At least I think that's how it works.

There is no limit to the difficulty score now and that vault is super difficult. Actually that vault is namely after her, I believe. So the 0.8 or 1.0 pt deduction on execution was partially made up by the difficulty score. Had she landed that vault on her feet, she would have scored 16.5 or higher.

The gymnastics expert said that was a horrible score, she shouldn't have gotten a score that high.

If its NBC, then its not a surprise.

On another note, Bolt looked smooth in his first 200m run.
