Kyrie should be in an Australian singlet! but as Coach K was his college coach and basically all but promised he would play for Team USA... it didn't end up happening.

NBA rookie of the year favourite Kyrie Irving says his heart is still with Australia and his decision not to play for the Boomers at the London Olympics was for his family, and to prolong his career.

Speaking before Cleveland Cavaliers' game in New Jersey, Irving told foxsports.com.au, "I'm still an Australian at heart, but it was just a family decision for me, and about my longevity in the game".

If you say so. I wouldn't root against my country. It's not war, but you still have to have some pride. I wouldn't want to root for another country regardless of if they were Goliath or whether they were David. To each their own.

Aussies are tough mothers. I hate watching USA play - this one on one mentality. It's ugly basketball

Irving can go HAM on Dellavadova whenever he wants. Not sure why he doesn't go at him more.

I've really been enjoying this game.

I don't know why Coach K is getting any flack. I don't think that these guys want to run plays. They want to showboat and have a good time. Being down at halftime was the best thing that could have happened to Team USA up until this point as a squad. They looked so much more focused coming out of the half.

Man I wish NBA still looked like this. I was so much more entertaining when the game had physicality.

If that were the case, the refs would call every illegal screen that Australia set in the first half which was too many to count. Half of the 3 pt shots seem to have illegal screens.

I don't think the U.S. needs any help from the officials to win this game at all. They could win comfortably 5 on 8.

US losing would be great for ratings, so not sure why they would want to rig it for US.

Well you have to watch the game to see it. USA getting superstar calls and it's not the NBA, it's international competition.
