Being an Aussie, i'm ready for blood to be spilled today.

You should lend Bogut to Croatia, you know, him being full-blooded Croatian and all that :D

The funny thing is I reckon he would if he could.

I like most of the rules in FIBA and the way they call things like travels but I hate the way they call reach in fouls. It's stupid because it's quite often a clean steal but they call the foul from the blind side and thus assume that it's a foul.

If you ask me why, I already stated my opinion.

p.s long term I'd, of course, go with Gobert cause of trade value. And I would trade him then. That's my honest opinion. I never liked centers, or players for that matter, like him.

Every team Pau has played on since 2009/2010 has disappointed. Maybe he'll fit in on the Spurs better in the upcoming season but most analysts seem to think swapping him in for an ancient Tim Duncan is a lateral move at best. I hope they're wrong because I'd love to see a team challenge Golden State but I'm not optimistic.

That's totally true. Even if the defender only touch the ball, the ref is gonna call the foul. And also is difficult to see fastbreaks in the game because the mentality of these players are that if there is any chance to recieve a fastbreak, make the foul and the other team will have to play 5 on 5. I'm sure FIBA will become this an unsportmanlike foul.

Both teams play ugly scrappy ball. The winner will be demolished by AUS.

At this rate one of the teams might actually break 70 before the end of the game.

They aren't flashy, but I'm seeing some nice signs of ball movement.

Manu has been around for a long time, but I don't see him as a legend. When I think Manu, I think 'one of the NBA's leading floppers.' Clearly he's revered for contributions abroad and I can't comment on his style of play in Europe because I haven't followed it. At the moment, he's a decent player consistently surrounded by very good teammates and a great coach. He's heavily reliant on his acting -- nothing to be proud of and a bad way to finish a career.

Offensively he couldn't get into a flow and looked really bad. Defensively he looked like amazing tonight.

The Serbs are just playing big right now. They're forcing their way into the paint every time.

Croatia seems to be settling for jumpers.

Not sure if I'm watching a rerun of the Balkan wars or a basketball game.

Croatia deserves a lot of respect regardless of what happens today. First they went through Giannis' Greece, then Galinari's Italy, then they beat Spain, Brazil and Lithuanina to make it here and every single game was a big struggle for them, and they willed their way through. They are really only 2.5 players, plus a bunch role playing guys who came together as a team and punched above their weight. Well done, they should be proud.

The semis are shaping up to be awesome. The Americans are only mildly interested, but everybody else lives and breathes for those games.
