i'm going to watch a lot of the swimming hoping phelps gets his 8 golds

The Olympics are the one event where I will enjoy watching the sports I usually do not watch on television. I'm looking forward to swimming, track and field, baseball, and volleyball. The US should win a lot of medals in swimming and track like they usually do.

- Swimming, because I want to see if Mike Phelps can get the 8 golds
- Track and Field, because I love to see people run fast and jump high
- Baseball, to see if the USA youngsters can return us to glory
- Badminton, so I can play the drinking game of where you take a shot every time they say "shuttlecock"

I'm on the Phelps train with you, hermes. I wanna see if he can get it done. To be honest, I can't wait to watch archery, mainly because they're gonna have HD cameras in the bullseye. That is just sweet.

swimming and track i've always loved, even when not at the olympics.
I just love the high level of competition from across the world.

I will be watching for quest for 8 gold medels.... i think his hardest test will be in the 100m fly and the 4X100 freestyle.

He owns in the 200m fly, but the 100m fly is short for him. He typically destroyes the feild on the turns at the wall, and in the 100m fly there is only 1 turn for him to capitalize on. In the 100m it will be Ian Crocker and Phelps battling it out, with Phelphs playing catch up on the 2nd length, since i think Ian has better technical fly stroke

4X100 freestlye.... I dunno they are favoured to win cuz they killed the world record recently, but I wont be counting out the South Africans, since they didnt race it recently. They typically concentrate their efforts to take this race at the olympics.

For Canada.... I'm hopeing Hyden has a strong race in the 100m freestyle, and im hopeing for a podium finish at least, since he looks to be healthy now. Also then mens 4X200m relay will be dominated by the States but Canada can take a medal there also with Hayden/Say/Johns

My favorite swimmer is Pieter van den Hoogenband tho, and i still think he is the best PURE freestyler in the world....(physically he is just unable to make turns like Phelphs or Thrope did, which they make up immense amounts of time on him)

At the 7:00min mark they show both of their turns, and you can see that Phelphs turns is ridculus, as he is able to not only do a control dolphin kick chest down, he can also first do the dolphin kick sideways immediately off the wall

naturally basketball and soccer. i am also interested in wrestling and weightlifting which maybe the only chance to get a medal for turkish team.

additionally, very interested to see how Phelps will do in swimming and of course the 100m.

Actually I'm looking forward to men's cycling. I think Christian Vandevelde can win coming off a strong Tour de France.

Boxing... well boxing next star could always be born.

Swimming... I want to see some records broken

Gymnastics and diving is always a treat... what they do is f'ing amazing

Track and field... too many druggies have killed the aura about it.

Yeah, I tend to have the Olympics on non-stop and watch pretty much everything. Swimming, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Track & Field etc.

Not so much weightlifting though.

I want to watch Track mainly. Also swimming. And Beach Volleyball for hot girls.

Phelps is going to get his, I was watching the fencing competition at 4 am early this morning and we finally got a gold and sweep. I also watched the Women Soccer game against Japan and we won that too. Too bad they had lost on Wednesday.

any endurance sport, really. but track is the sport that draws from the largest pool of athletes and hs the most resources committed to it; there's no country in the world that doesn't have a track program. whereas, say, kayaking - like 10 countries participate.

Yeah, I agree with that.Curling is probably the worst sport in the world.
I'm looking forward for Handball, fencing( yeah, I do like fencing ), Boxing (for Alexis Vastine and Jaoid Chiguer ), Judo,, Tracks & Fields, Swimming, Badminton, Table Tennis, Soccer, Tennis, Gym ..
