the lightning of the torch was once again spectacular (i don't remember the name of the athlete) but on a wheelchair he climbed to the torch and lighted it!!

It is utterly fascinating to watch disabled athletes. It is such a given that you are healthy that not HOW these disabled ppl do things, but THAT they can do it is enough to stun you. Running with no feet? Swimming with no arms? Shooting without sight? Instead of being all "aww, that chap tried so hard, let's cheer him up" it is more like "OMG did you see that". Also, every Paralympic by definition was hit by some tragedy, and it is uplifting to see how bravely (and matter of factly) they cope with this.

yeah, this guys are amazing, how they have to fight in their regular life and how they decide that nothing will stop them and most of the times we don't give them the credit and praise they deserve.
