Its here. Opening Ceremonies tonight and then the first full day of competition tomorrow.

I'm going out to Whistler for the first and last weekend of the Olympics so needlessly to say, I'm pretty pumped right now.

I was lucky enough to go to the Opening Ceremonies. Probably the coolest thing I've ever been to. I'm not sure how it looked on TV but they put on a heck of show. They put us all in white ponchos and went through a good sized rehearsal before hand telling us what to do and when.

Next to Gretzky, Nash got the biggest cheer from the crowd. It was a nice surprise and well deserved. IMO the Olympics have been pretty awesome so far.

Lindsey Vonn, Shaun White, Shani Davis, and Apolo Anton Ohno are all scheduled to compete tomorrow.

Today Petra Majdič from Slovenija became the hero of those olympic games..
She fractured her ribs at warming up for the qualifications, after she fell 3 meter into the small gorge, which was, of course not safe, after another bad bad organizing mistake ..
She won the bronze medal and fell unconcious from pain after crossing the finish line
All the spectators at the course where cheering for her..
RESPECT!!

I too know little about snowboarding but you could tell White is just on a higher level than everyone else.
