If he's not responding it's better to find a replacement before doing the draft order.

At this point, draft order shouldn't matter. Whoever inherits Moose's spot will also have no control over lotto number or draft order anyway.

Gokce said he'll take care of draft lottery in a few hours.
I wonder how long "draft position picking" will take us

That's the thing. We'd have to set a time limit...but even then, this could blow up in our faces. Consider this: Let's say someone who has limited access this week gets the 1st overall pick. What happens if the person with the 2nd pick wants number 1, and successfully requests number 1 in the time limit? Does that mean the person with the 1st pick drops to 2? Or worse, what if the people with 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 all want to move up one spot and get their requests in by the time limit? Does that drop the 1st overall pick to 7? I think just keeping your draft spot based on your lottery number might be the easiest thing to do.

For the record, I voted in favor of picking your draft spot, but I think we need a whole season to discuss and consider the ramifications of this new option, before we make such a drastic change.

How about a 4 hour limit per person to pick their spot... if they miss the deadline, they get the highest spot open? this should allow us to get all picks selected within a 24 hour period, assuming that many spots will be selected in far less than 4 hours. Thoughts?

Again, this assumes everyone is equally active, and I think we've shown over the past few weeks that this isn't the case. And 4 hours? That would mean some of us have our time limit during the middle of the night. This also doesn't fix the problem I originally posed - what if the person with the 1st overall pick is left with a pick between 10-14 because he wasn't able to check in for a second time in time?

If the person who has the first option of pick misses their window, they automatically get pick 1. If the second person selects pick 3, and third person misses their window, they get pick 2. etc etc. If you miss, you automatically get the highest available pick (rather than them getting skipped)

Let's just get started and abandon the lottery reform.

Didn't realize it would take so long to figure out and that it could potentially disadvantage certain people.

A lottery is as fair and easy as it gets.

It's not like we will start drafting immediately. The date will be set to 3 days later, we can use that time to pick our draft spots.

I say 8 hour pick time for everyone should solve it in 3 days (until we start). If you get skipped you get the highest available spot.

Without trades, we should be done with the draft in 20 days easily.

20 days can be optimistic but I don't think we'd exceed 30 days

Lets say 8 hours but the sooner we finish the better.

Go figure. I’m one of the 3 people who loses because of the new rule. Guessing my nice end of round spot will be gone by tomorrow. Wish we would’ve just kept the old way...though I voted in favor of it too, so I guess I can blame myself too

Whilst we get picking draft slots runnings, please vote on these two issues:

1) Swap one G and one F to 2 utility spots in the starting line ups (Yes / No) (new poll so please vote on this even if you have stated your stance before)
2) Implement FAAB Continuous Waiver system with same day adds (Yes / No) (new poll so please vote on this even if you have stated your stance before)

Please post your votes like this:(and here is my actual vote)

1) Yes
2) Yes
