Btw guys, I'm very busy atm. My gf has 2 horses but she has been operated so I have to train and take care of them atm. With work also being hectic atm I can/will be slow to react to things. If there's anything important please mail me because I do check that frequently.

this means that you can have between 4 and 6 keepers depending on your rookie/sophomore management(4 regulars + a rookie after year 2 + a rookie after hear one)

you can only have a rookie keeper if you drafted him and kept him all the time. you can only have "sophmore" keeper if you had a rookie keeper and you kept him all the time during his 2nd season. so there is no trading for rookie keepers, if a rookie gets traded new manager doesn't hold his rookie rights

Though I can promise, IT will get very tricky to manage it. I still like the strategy it involves though.

commish will have to make a list of all drafted rookies and edit it every time a rookie gets traded or dropped. same goes for sophomores execpt that it will be initiated with the rookie keepers from previous season only. it will be every memeber's duty to notify commish of any rookie or sophomore involvong transactions in order to take some burden off the commish

early results:
1. one vote
4. one vote
5. six votes

one thing i forgot to mention earlier is that my vote (as a commish) breaks the ties

sacstar16, Stanford and everyone else i explained 5th option the way i understood it (since i'm not the one who originally thought of it). if you want to be allowed to trade rookies during their rookie and/or sophomore year without losing the right to keep them independently from 4 regular keepers i can put that to vote when we complete league roster and do a vote on all other rules. what i'm trying to say is that i don't want to dictate anything except for activity. any proposed rule changes will be put to vote

To make things even more confusing...but to add strategy...it might be nice to consider the rookie rule under number 5 as you get one rookie trade allowance...that is, if you trade to get a rookie, the first time, you get the 6 instead of 4 keepers. However, after the first time, if you trade a rookie away and do not receive one in return, then you drop to 4 keepers.

Also, I figure if you trade a rookie for a rookie, that the rule would remain in force as well...it's considered as if you had a rookie on your roster at all times.

I guess the real question is: is the rule determined by the exact rookie you have, or by the fact that you have a rookie?

No, I would think he has to be your draft pick. Not someone you picked up on the last day of the previous season ...

If Jordan's out...and Chicken Soup is still in...can I get dibs on Jordan's team?

I thought you took your first dibs on Ducky's team. If you don't want his team, fine with me. I'll take it.

Of course, this whole conversation is moot until KalElen makes a decision on who is and is not in the league.

Ok, lets give it a week. Jordan, you've got a week to figure out if you're going to stay or not.

I'll dig up Roves email (its gotta be in my hotmail account somewhere. sorry if you get an email from me thinking you're rove) and see what he wants to do. If WB and BWW want to join, I'm sure they would appreciate it if they could officially take the team over sooner than later.
