Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
Well, last night I had a dream about a player that got traded. Traded to Boston. And since you folks obliterated what little list I had left for #231 I'm just going to go ahead and take him when he comes up.
This is what it's come to folks. Dream drafting.

I think everything after Artest is crap with an outside shot of being decent.
That's where I'm drawing the line, myself.

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
I'm happy that I got Jerebko but we'll see. Jerebko and another guy were on my list and I think those are the last decent guys.
I like the last 6 players I got: Odom, Roy, Mullens, Crawford, Ross and Jerebko. All of them have pretty high ceilings. if 3 or 4 of them outplay their draft positions than I guess I'll be fine.

I seriously considered Jerebko more than once in the last 20 picks. I think he's shown his inconsistency, and I doubt he gets serious minutes to make much fantasy impact, but there will be that 1 or 2 games every couple of weeks where he goes off, which is pretty much all you can ask for at this point in the draft. Plus, it's that bonus value that guys like Jerebko offer that usually push a team over the hump and to the win (which is why I nearly drafted him).
I'm also pretty happy with my last few picks: Courtney Lee, Aaron Brooks, Austin Rivers, and Jordan Hill. Lee will be solid while Avery Bradley is out and will have good value even when he comes back. Brooks will get minutes in Sacramento and could even challenge for the starting position. Rivers will get at least 20 mins. a game, and that's good for me. And finally Jordan Hill will hopefully be top 50 for me for the first little bit of the season until DH gets back. And then when they rest DH for the playoffs in April, I'm hoping he'll push me over the top

I think Lee and Morrow (whom 3Si picked) are terrific picks. Both will end up in top-150 when it is said and done.

wb, check out how well Jonas played with Sweden. I think he can have a breakout season, if given the opportunity, but I do hate lawrence frank...
and I don't know how you guys love the Lee pick, Celtics has lots of depth at the 2 and 3 spots: Bradley, Terry, Pierce and Green and Lee shouldn't play that much 3 anyway.

Bradley is out at least until December (and even though he was solid last season, if Lee performs well, he should be holding onto his starting job). Plus Bradley - Rondo means two non-shooters, Lee can defend very well (only slighlty worse than Bradley) and is a terrific shooter so it makes sense for them to use Rondo - Lee as starters and Terry-Bradley as back-ups.

I almost took Jerebko. As a matter of fact, I had typed his name in, then lost my mind, and put Blatche's name down instead.

Thank you ham, you saved me from myself. Although, the one year I *didn't* target Blatche on my fantasy teams was the one year he was decent.

I did, which is why I had him on my list. However Sweden didn't play many NBA-level teams. In fact it was pretty watered down field. So it's risky to say his play is indicative of a breakout. Jerebko has always been solid, that's not the question. It's how much of it we'll see in the NBA this year. I'm hopeful but not entirely optimistic.

I have a definite target at 232. What are the odds he makes makes it past the next two picks?

good chance he makes it past my 'dream' pick.

If you're getting visions and revelations about NBA players, we need to talk. After all, the last deal I made with you was highly favorable for you, and, because of trades, I've basically drafted like 1/3 of your team...

Not so much a vision or revelation as my subconscious wanting in on the drafting action.
And who am I to argue with my subconscious?

Sorry, got nothing for you Sabs. I was thinking maybe Thornton for Carmello straight up, but, then I remembered you took Mello in the 1st round.
I'm not trying to win points so probably not the best trading partner.

Ahhh...and there goes Andrew Nicholson.
This is probably the strangest situation I've seen in fantasy sports. No less than FIVE potential centers on one team (Orlando) have been drafted: Ayon, Davis, Harrington, Vucevic, and Nicholson.
I'd like to know what Wes and his Technicolor Dream Coat says about that situation.

If i had to guess:
Vucevic, Ayon, Nicholson.
But, Ayon could start. You also might see something like 24, 18, 6. Where none of them have much value.

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
And the hindsight answer was.... 100%. Though he was really the second guy on the list, after Blatche. But ham made sure I didn't have to worry about that.
We'll see if the third guy makes it to 249. I doubt it, but you never know.
