Still think you own me? I do like your big man cats. Favors, Hibbert, Drummond, Amir... That's a pretty impressive collection of bigs.

So, what does that give you? Reb/Blk/FG% right off the top. I'm not sure I see much dominance in any of the other cats though. What other 2 were you hoping to win?

Ah, we're in that time of year where everyone loves the players that they've just picked.

Well, we drafted/traded for them for a reason, makes sense that we'd like them.

It's redundant to announce we think they'll do well.

And I am done. Obligatory self assessment:

PG - Russell Westbrook (decided to go small ball from the get go at pick 11, because a lot of bigs would go afterward)
SG - Klay Thompson (threes!)
G - Derrick Rose (injury risk/uncertainty from FIBA performance)
G - Shaun Livingston (go dubs!)
SF - DeMarre Carroll (should be steady role player)
PF - Josh McRoberts (out of position assists, fits as a small ball PF)
F - Boris Diaw (should be in better shape this season)
F - Wesley Matthews (more threes!)
C - Henry Sims (had a great end of season, hope it continues)
C - Kelly Olynyk (crowded Boston front court a concern)
BN - Martell Webster (wish I had checked before that he is hurt, likely to be dropped)
BN - Devin Harris (who knows who'll get the most PG run in Dallas with Felton, Nelson, and Harris)
BN - Ramon Sessions (lucked into picking him the day after he signs with Sacto)
BN - Nick Collison (warm body, but at least he'll play every game)

Team strengths are all in the small ball area: points, threes, assists, steals, and free throw %.
Definitely punting rebounds and block, and below average in field goal %.

My team should contend for a playoff spot to keep my streak alive, barring an injury.

You are right of course, a lot of things have to break just so for my team. I'm not really singing the praises of my team this year, it doesn't feel that good to me.

But, we'll know better a couple weeks into the season. Right now I'm hoping for that Bledsoe trade.

here's my team. I'm only gonna comment on Leuer. I thought about him at 220s so I was surprised to see him fall. When one of the bigs in Memphis misses time Leuer can be a top 100 player. Even without injuries he might be top150 since Memphis still needs spacing on court. He could be the highest upside player among the the last 50 picks or so, at least in my eyes.
Of course he is a pick in the late 200s, so there is a higher chance he won't pan out.

PG - Kyrie Irving
SG - Redick
G - George Hill
G - Vince Carter
SF - Gallinari
PF - David West
F - Mason Plumlee
F - Cody Zeller
C - Al Horford
C - Tyson Chandler
B - Kendall Marshall
B - Jordan Farmar
B - Jon Leuer
B - Glen Rice Jr.

I guess now that I'm done I need to do one of those post-draft summaries of my team?

Carmelo Anthony

He had a career year last year, and now he'll be playing in the triangle, with an improved supporting cast. I don't expect him to completely match last year's numbers, but anything close, particularly in rebounds, will be a win here.

Ty Lawson

I need assists and steals, and everything else is gravy here. For some reason, no one ever seems super excited about drafting Lawson and he drops a few spaces every year. Maybe this year I'll find out why.

Tim Duncan

I loved that he fell to me in the third round. A lot of people shy away from Timmy because of his age and reduced minutes. That's a plus in my mind, as it helps stave off injury for a guy this age. I love his boards, and his blocks, and his assists, and his fg%. This was one of my favorite picks in the draft.

Brandon Knight

I'm stoked on Knight this year. He had a breakout year last year, and I fully expect him to improve on that his year. With Lawson already in place, I didn't need a dominant assist guy as my second PG, just a decent assist guy, which is what I got here. Add his scoring, shooting and steals, and I think I got a steal here as well.

Kenneth Faried

Can he turn himself into a double/double guy? Maybe, but close enough is good enough for me. He's young and only getting better and he was huge for the US team this summer.

Jamal Crawford

No, he won't be as good as he was at the end of the season, but if he is even close, this is a huge steal to grab him here. I was shocked that he was still available; probably 10-15 slots better than the other talent available when I picked. Scoring and passing in these numbers shouldn't be available this late in the draft.

John Henson

I was very bummed when WB nabbed him from me last year. I almost took him a whole round earlier, so it was a pleasant surprise when he fell here. I know he has some competition at his position, but he can play 4 positions, and the presence of Parker should only make him better. I'm betting he's the starter as the season begins.

JJ Hickson

You know exactly what you're getting from JJ. About 8-9 boards and a block. Add him to the blocks I have with Timmy, Henson and Faried, and I should be well above average in that category.

Khris Middleton

I think everyone shied away from him because of the presence of Parker this year, but he's too good and young to ride the pine all year long. If you saw him play, you know he has immense talent and he's only just started to tap it. I'm excited for this guy's upside.

Iman Shumpert

I think I missed on this one. I knew about THJ, but I didn't think he would take over this role so quickly. I may have misjudged. Maybe he gets traded and gets better minutes somewhere else? I'll take him on LA. Henry for Shumpert anyone?

Andrei Kirilenko

Ya, he and Kidd didn't see eye to eye, and his minutes suffered for it. Now, it's a new coach, and no Paul Pierce in front of him. Shouldn't his minutes go up dramatically? What am I missing?

Steve Blake

Any Lakers fan will tell you, give this guy minutes, and he produces. No one knows what kind of production to expect behind Lillard, but he can play two positions, and he has had success there before. Even the worst case scenario for Blake was worth the spot where I took him.

Bismack Biyombo

Hey, how many guys at this stage of the draft can get you over a block per game?

Ryan Kelly

Yes, there's a crowded front court in LA, but how many shooters does this team have that can stretch the defense? Believe me, he's going to get minutes.

On Lawson, as the long-time owner in the FFDL, he just seems to be hurt a lot. This isn't exactly true, but he missed 20 games last season and the 10 games the season before.

And Steve Blake is not on the Warriors anymore and is back in Portland.

Finally done drafting. I'm confident that my team is top 20 this year. I might even say top 15.

Bon Jour from Dijon, France. Checked in and saw I was up. Felt that mini-rush of drafting for myself that I've missed these past few weeks. Here's my team. It speaks for itself. Plus, I can't think of anything more witty to say about it than Floppy and TK said about theirs. I will say this about my team though: Far too many Lakers for my liking (hate being a homer). Far too many Rookies for my liking. Far too many "swing for the fences" picks for my liking. Far too many guys who like to blow in Lebron's ear for my liking. Not enough Gasols...or guys who are sure things. In other words...I'm winning it all this year.

PG Goran Dragic
SG Kobe Bryant
G Lance Stephenson
G Elfrid Payton
PF Ryan Anderson
SF Jabari Parker
F Solomon Hill
F Ed Davis
C Jonas Valanciunas
C Tiago Splitter
B Tony Allen
B Ray McCallum
B Donatas Motiejunas
B James Ennis

Well, first domino fell against me. Bledsoe resigned. I was thinking an over 50% chance he'd have been traded instead. Still, not a death sentence for Thomas as he can still put up pretty good numbers in less minutes, but, far from ideal.
