You?

Bump
I said I would, but I need everyone's teams updated on the front page. ALternatively, if you want a write up, send me your current roster (squirrelzipper at yahoo) and I'll put together a write-up. I'm done drafting.

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
Because not all the teams are updated, or finished for that matter, I'm just going to analyze the teams 3 or so at a time and put them into one of 4 categories: Contender, Playoff Team, Consolation, Bottom of the Pack
Coming up first:
BWW
Jazz
Floppy

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
Was Rip really still left on the board?
I know he's going to miss a ton of games because the Bulls are going to stink and he's injury prone, and we don't have an IL anymore, but he's still the starter. I'll take the gamble on benefiting from him for as many games as possible until I eventually have to drop him.
Nate Robinson and Belli both went before him, but he's the starter. Was everyone that afraid of injury, or is there something I don't know about him?
so now I have both Rip and Billups...two injury prone guys I took last year who killed me in this league.

I have made a google spreadsheet of the teams. It's a best effort, I may have players incorrect. Please pm me or post here if I have mistakes. Meanwhile, here is the spreadsheet link:

This is really going to make it easy to do the write-ups!
Incidentally, I actually traded 263 away, but that's of no consequence at this point.

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
Here are my first 3 team writeups:
Jazz
overview
I’m usually not a fan of Jazz’s teams because he usually opts for the apparent consistency of the old and moldy players, but over the last few seasons, he’s diversified his portfolio. This year’s model (mixing metaphors) is full of young guys. And, don’t look now, but Jazz even has ROOKIES! FOUR of them to be exact. But who am I to talk, since I basically drafted 2 of them for him. At least he has 50-year-old Camby who brings the median age back up to the mid 30s. Seriously though, here’s how I see Jazz’s team: great start to the draft. He got a guy absolutely dominant in one category and a 3xDouble threat (Rondo), and then he went and cornered his market with a solid GF and potentially solid C. I would’ve liked to see him go and fortify assists, since he drafted Rondo from the get-go. But I do like Jazz’s strategy. He may not have one dominant cat, but he has enough diversity to do well across the board. For this reason, his glue guys are going to be critical (see X Factors, below). To be honest, I’m not sure how his numbers will match up week to week, but I think he’ll be competitive to earn a 5-4 win in most weeks.
X Factors: Jonas, Felton, and Gee: If they fail to live up to expectations, then his team will too.
Draft Gems: I think Alec Burks at 231 could be a happy surprise for him. Runner up: Harkless (218): The real centerpiece of the DH trade, by the trade deadline, he could be the man in Orlando.
Outlook: Middle of the Pack / On the playoff bubble
BWW
overview
This is redemption year for BWW. Last year saw him lose not one but TWO of his first 3 picks (Eric Gordon and Stephen Curry), and yet he still remained competitive. This year? He very well may already be well down redemption road. When looking at his team, the one thing that really stands out is there really aren’t too many gaps. Sure, his assists aren’t too strong, but they’re competitive enough. He also has competitive advantages in boards, 3s, and even the %s. What gets me about BWW’s team is even where a guy may hurt his team (i.e. Jennings’ FG%), he has enough power to make up for it elsewhere (i.e. guys like Gibson and Gortat. At the end of the day, the difference between winning it all and simply making the playoffs will be the strength of his young guys like Green, The Thompson Twins (yep, I just made that up) and Seraphin.
X Factors: Scola (Will he be more the veteran presence or the statistical leader?), Tristan Thompson (did he really improve over the summer?), and Corey Maggette.
Draft Gems : Gibson. Word is the Bulls want him taking a leadership role this year, and considering the neverending frustration of Boozer, he could step up big. Seraphin: DC has a very fragile front-line, and at any moment, Seraphin could step in and be the starter.
Outlook: Contender
Floppy
overview
I really like how Floppy started the draft. Aldridge and Harden really gave him a solid foundation in points and %s. He then went and grabbed unheralded talent (Leonard) and heralded talent (Lin), to round out his top 4, which I also liked. I would have liked to see him go for more big man stats to build around Aldridge, but I can’t fault him for going for guys like Leonard and Lin. From there, however, the rest is difficult to pin down. The roles and numbers of guys like Rush, NateRob, Kidd-Gilchrist, Teletovic, and even Frye are hard to figure. What I don’t see is much support for his big four, but more of a minestrone soup mix of guys who may or may not pan out this year. At worst, he’ll be a consolation team because his big four will keep him competitive enough to stay in it.
X Factors: Kidd-Gilchrist and Nate Rob: If these guys play to and even above expectations, Floppy will be a tough guy to beat.
[b] Draft Gems: Nate Rob at 152 was a good grab. He could be starting PG most of the year for Chi
Outlook Consolation team, on the bubble

If anyone can tell me what player or draft pick I'm missing for TK, let me know. The other possibility is that someone else has an extra pick (like WB did at one point) and that I'm missing that.

Someone forfeited a pick in a 2 for 1 trade. he will get his last player after the draft off the dynamic WW.
