Hey insfo, I've sent an offer to you.

Have no idea what I want to do with it though...

Brian, what kind of numbers you think Rubio is going to put up?

Wowzers. I considered Rubio at 23, but thought I had some serious homer-goggles.

Part of the reason I traded the pick was I didn't want to be teampted into biting on him too early

I had another trade offer I turned down in favor of WBs because I thought the alternate offer gave me a much better window of grabbing Rubio if he fell (the pick was in the 30's). I took the WB offer because the big jump gives me a much more solid picture of who I'm looking to get instead of "hoping my guy falls".

So far, I'm glad I made the trade because had I done the other one...it would be completely busted (Unless nobody took Rubio, as my next pick would've been before WBs first one).

All that being said, Rubio should have number's very similar to another elite PG (sans FG%). It's likely that he leads the league in AST and STL this year (definitely top 3 in each stat for PGs, barring injury).

You could call me a homer too, I've been a fan of his from his time with Barca and the Spanish National team.
I had 2 guys I was hoping would drop to me at 36, one was Paul George, the other Rubio. When George went, I had to jump. I don't think I gave up too much. The drop from 77 to 138 looks big, but it could be negligible considering talent in that range is fairly even. Rubio absolutely dominates in assists and steals. I'm hoping this year he stays healthy....but then again, there are at least 3 other guys that went before him whose owners are saying the same thing...

My picks are a mess now. My condolences to whoever has to update the pick list.

Nothing big.
25 ppg, 30 ast/g, 10 stl/g.

You know, the usual.

My projection has him around 12/9/4 with a three and 2.7 spg. I expect his %s to stay roughly the same (36-37 % fg; 80 % ft) and 3.4 turnovers. I have him ranked around mid 30's.

Quite impressive.

I grabbed Damien Lillard. hopefully he builds on that rookie season.

well I almost picked Rose at 15, so I had to get him at 26. I didn't expect to get back to back pg's, but here I am. Though their ceilings are very high, so I might have gotten 2 top 10 value guys.

You got them at good spots but I'd be very surprised that either of them ends up in top-10, considering that neither has ever finished in top-15. Rose was ranked 17th on his MVP season and he didnt play a game for 1.5 year so I dont think a repeat performance of his MVP season is very likely. At best you are looking at a repeat of his last season before injury (27th rank) and I have him ranked at 30 - 35 range.

I always thought anyone picking Westbrook and Rose at 5-8 range weren't getting best value out of their picks because they had better options, but at 15 and 26 I think these 2 guys are pretty good.

though I have to disagree with you about Rose. His last season was somewhat injury plagued even before the ACL injury and he finished 27th in per game rankings. I don't see how he can do worse than that unless his FG% and FT% somehow regresses (43.5% - 81%)

I'm not saying that they will be top 10, I'm just saying they have the potential to do so, especially seeing that turnovers are dragging them down quite a bit.

Really thought about Noah at that spot. He was a stud last year and especially down the stretch. MPG spike, though, which is a flag for me (whether it lasts or encourages injury). Either way, great value if he can maintain what he did last year.

I thought about Noah as well. There were about 5 bigs I looked at taking with my pick. I decided against Noah due to his games played history and the fact that his blocks were about 50% higher this year than previously. Makes me worried it was just a spike.

But, like the man said, if he keeps it up he's great value.

All 5 of the guys I looked at had one problem or another. It wasn't like any of them were flawless. For Sanders I didn't like his FT%. But, he didn't take a ton of them, so I took a chance on him. If his minutes go up to the 33-36 range I think Sanders could easily be top 15 material.

I like Sanders. He was a stud for me last year...and for that I can thank Gokce for trading him to me on the cheap. 8-)
