If you'll look at my schedule I've faced the toughest schedule in the entire league up till now. From this point on it's smooth sailing. I just finished facing all the other playoff teams in a row, now I get to face all the non-playoff teams in a row. I think I'll probably end up finishing the regular season either 3rd or 4th.

A few thoughts:

1. RE: Carl vs. Coady...if we're trading Coady for Carl, I'm going to vote to veto that trade. CArl's been a royal horse's hindquarters since day one.

2. My "run home" to the playoffs...yes, i'm scared of Stanford's and Kohanz's teams, but by the time I hit Carl's team, he won't be a playoff team anymore, so I'm not worried about my last 4 weeks of games.

3. Carl, you played MY team in your first half of the season...a team you said was pure crap. And yet, you only beat me by a small margin. I don't think we'll be seeing you in the playoffs this year.

You didn't have to trade Wade/Gasol for Calderon/Biedrins/Mayo, but...

...mark my words, things will get better. When Stanford started, his team was awful. Now look at him. And myself, last in the past two years, this year up to fifth...and that's with heaps of injuries.

WB, we will see how close we are in a couple weeks. You always try to exaggerate how competitive your team is, especially against mine. I still stand by my prediction earlier this season that round two will be a 7-2 victory.

Of the teams chasing the top 6, I think east could be the one to watch. His team should be very strong...

I'm willing to deal Collison to the highest bidder. Should be a stud for at least the next month to help with a playoff and then he'll have to receive minutes when Paul returns after the performances he's put up. A 22-year-old in an NBA where small guards have been doing very well.

I'm going to invoke the "I would have beat you" position...because, last week, I would have beat you. My team is coming to full strength. Your team is dropping like a rock. Can't deny those kind of physics.

What about the other physics that say your team is almost certainly going to be under .500 after Standford streams in a 9-0 victory on you, while my team, which is still ahead of you by 3.5 games, faces a bunch of cupcakes. Or that my team is deeper and stronger at the top.
