Most teams would prefer to play WB's team as opposed to Blake's or Fran's for a second time in Weeks 20 or 21. The easiest remedy is to either start the season two weeks early, two weeks late, or have 22 teams (not possible on Y! yet). Though 22 teams also makes the draft far more tedious, especially in the later rounds.

Is it possible to set the PO's to start 2 weeks earlier? That way you also don't have the problem of stars being rested at the end of the year.

I'm not going to drag this any longer but that is not true. We didn't make this decision. If we got to make the decision it would have been an 8 team playoffs (about 18 of us, if you check the posts). Someone or two made this decision, it just wasn't us.

The decision was made long before the season started. What you, and however many others that voted for the 8 team playoff, wanted was to change the initial league settings.

I just add N.Batum to my team.
he was drafted @ 203 by YS then drooped because he had a inj then probably YS got 2 other guys inj better than him and got to droop him.
Good add? bad? non factor?

Thoughts

and thx in advanced

I really liked teh pickup. Webster is doing great, so I don't think Batum will start, but, an excellent pickup anyway. I'm jealous I didn't get him. I just assumed he was not available.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I agree with Wes. Nice pickup. Those numbers are certainly possible, but it's tough when talking about guys coming back from injury. Batum is certainly capable of those numbers when healthy. There's a lot of variables such as the rest of the team's health and moves made, but it's well worth the pickup. I might've picked him up too if I was paying attention

Maybe I should have IL'ed him at the start of the season...all hindsight now.

Batum would've been a great fit for my team; he can just stuff the stat-sheet.

Maybe I should have made it an 8-team playoffs...because I don't think I will be a) featuring in a 6-team format or b) not be at full-strength. Let's see how Mr Horford goes now as the sole All Star on my team.

I just think it would have made the season more exciting for a longer period of time. And perhaps also give managers a bigger window of dealing with injuries.

Right now one major injury can push you out of the PO picture in the blink of an eye.

But this will be the last thing I say about the PO format.

Good timing this week facing Jordan's beat-up squad.

Rejoice, I'm done. I don't think any other team relies on one player more than my team relied on CP3. I also think I am paying the price for the Delonte pick, he's been useless all year. If I get a better PG at #112, I am better for it.

Want his replacement? It'll only cost you CP3... :P

It's not all that farfetched Brian - I'd actually be very interested.

Regarding CP3 - he was dropped on the day that he missed his third game (i.e. today).
