As for Jordan: Seriously, how much time does managing a team really take? Most of us have careers besides fantasy basketball...BWW studied for and passed the BAR, I wrote and defended a doctoral dissertation. Come on man, stick around. You've been a solid competitor.

Congrats Craig! You've now joined me as the only other manager to have a championship in each of the FFL and the FFDL. Welcome to the club. You deserved it!

Craig, I'm sorry to see you go. You did a great job and made this a lot of fun for all of us. I hope you reconsider leaving the league entirely.

I know I used to play in 7-8 leagues, but, I had to trim it back myself. I mostly just do VBA and FFL now.

Each individual league doesn't take long to run, but, I find I can't give a huge number of leagues teh attention I'd like.

maybe YS is just prioritizing. FFL is one of the Keeper leagues IMHO. He must have some great leagues he's in if he's cutting this one.

And congrats to Sly for taking the chip!

thanks, guys...

obviously, drafting Durant turned out to be a great option down the stretch. All of my guys were producing 'til the end and I didn't hit an injury all year. My infusion of youth certainly helped; but, was pretty lucky for the entire year with this squad.

we'll start this bad boy up again in the Summer. i'm toying with the idea of weekly lineups and eliminating the IL. Wes mentioned it, I honestly think it might be a good option to consider...

it would eliminate IL stresses for the commish, create reprieve from injuries, not insist managers check in daily for their starting lineups, and - IMO - still reward activeness, adding additional strategy as far as games played and knowing injury situations, and having a good draft. We can start the discussion now, if you like. Or wait...

Hopefully Jordan can wait until August before finalizing his decision...

This is the best and most active league on the boards. I think Weekly lineups will hurt that, especially since it limits managers to only be able to do something with their teams once a week. It makes add drops, trades, and everything else a little anti-climactic. Let's keep it at daily.

I think we should do away with IL's completely...But still go with daily lineups personally.

I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud or anything, but I think if we go to weekly lineups, I'll have to bow out. It's an entirely different game at that point, and I'm not sure I'd be interested in it.

As for weekly lineups, I agree with some of the guys here; I'd lose a lot of interest in this league. We should also keep the IL as it is.

As for rules, I'd prefer daily over weekly, but I'm good with doing away with the IL. If we do get rid of the IL, I wouldn't mind adding one more bench spot.

Well, I'm a big supporter of weekly lineups.

No need for IL.
No ability for streaming.
Adds a new/different strategy in drafting.

For me the absolute death of streaming is worth any negative weekly lineups bring.

With all due respect, I think most people trash streaming simply because they are too lazy to do it.
It's simply a part of the game/strategy and everyone has equal opportunity to steam. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it.

With all due respect, I think Wes has been the biggest (and only?) supporter of weekly lineups for quite some time now. I don't think streaming is really an issue, and Craig's position has always been, if you stream, you lose out on a player in an ultra-competitive league like FFL. Also, if streaming were that effective, you'd think the biggest streamer would have won...Craig's victory (and BWW's last season) show that streaming really isn't a problem that it is made out to be.

As for IL: I can concede IL if we stick to daily lineups. If we go weekly, I don't think this league would be that fun anymore.

I'm going to butt in on this argument that weekly lineups cause in activeness; I don't see why it would. A team manager is going to be active or not regardless. As for strategy into a weekly lineup; I personally think it takes much, much more strategical thinking.

Sure, it takes a different strategical approach, but is it a better one? One that's more fun and exciting? No.
Bottom line is weekly lineups limit how often you update your team. That's a recipe for borderline ambivalence.

Well, I guess it's just me, but, I consider streaming to be cheating. I guess I may have to change my thinking on it for next year.

Is this the general consensus? Streaming is just a part of the game, like drafting or trading?

I really don't think that streaming is cheating. I mean, if you stream in the regular season, you're doing yourself more harm than good, I believe. I don't like excessive streaming in the playoffs, as I can see how it's more useful. So, I like the idea of adding a cap to prevent that. In that sense, I fully support using your full moves if you think it's advantageous to you. And - as an opponent - I'd hope that you counter that if you think the opposing manager is gaining an advantage through streaming. So, it all adds to the strategy.

I support weekly lineup leagues to make things easier for the commissioner. First and foremost, having weekly lineups creates reprieve for injuries already. So, it's a huge time saver for the commissioner. I like the strategy aspect of it most, though. It shifts everything to Sunday, where there's a lot of planning. And it's just as active during the week - where you can add/drop players... those players won't be moveable into your starting lineup until the next week, though. Brian's VBA league runs with weekly lineups, and I don't think it takes away from activity at all. I actually think it adds more strategy to the game...

I don't see how daily lineups makes a time difference for the commissioner, especially when it looks like we're abandoning an IL anyway.

I don't like the idea of eliminating the IL without some sort of injury reprieve. Weekly lineups creates injury reprieve, as you're choosing your top players for the week...
