Ok, so in Curry I trust. Will work on my front court. I don't need (nor want) my center to be an offensive anchor. I'm perfectly fine with him as the second (or third) banana. With that I'm going for a two-way player who anchored a championship dynasty's defense, could be an elite rebounder, and had range to his shot. He also was a beast in transition. With the last pick of the third round: 1981-1983 Robert Parish

While it's true his big calling card in an all-time sense is his longevity, I do think he's a very underrated player as far as just HOW GOOD he was during his peak or prime. Can't go wrong with that pick, imo.

And this being a modern game, and we are picking peak and not career, I'll go with some Fire to play with Chief's Ice up front. This guy could guard either big spot well and helped revolutionize what we imagine a power forward could do offensively. With the first pick of the fourth round: 2001-2003 Rasheed Wallace

Boy this is getting hard. I've been juggling a bunch of options but I think I've finally landed on Ron Artest. I've got a bit of a Bad Boys us-against-the-world type thing going and Artest fits the mold perfectly. Plus the Artest-Kidd-Reed core on defense will be a nightmare. Needless to say my squad is winning any fist fights

Dang, I was looking at Grant Hill, Paul Pierce, Rodman, and Rasheed Wallace. Pretty crazy.

Really tough decisions here

I'll select Mark Price

Anyhow I'm drafting Grant Hill.

Why'd this post get a +1? I picked him! :x

And I alluded to why I think it's a good pick. How can that possibly be upsetting to you? :dontknow:

Haha, I was just kidding about the fickle nature of +1. If I'm posting, assume I'm being sarcastic.

As ever I'll probably end up outsmarting myself by looking for others to drop through to me.

Anyway I'll gamble on talent and athleticism and select ...

Vince Carter.

Frazier and Dumars present the best def back court duo and Dumars 3pt range allows me to stretch that defense.

You guys need to stop taking my picks!

Anyone know when the draft list will be updated?

Anyway, the #4 guy on my draft board is still here, so I'm taking the best offensive anchor available, Steve Nash. We've seen that in the right context 05-07 Nash can provide GOAT-level offense, so I'm gonna try and build the right pieces around him to make that work. Probably gonna be a little tougher than with some of the bigs, but I'm up for the challenge.

Ugh you guys. There's a blue chip talent on the board right now but his reputation around these parts is so bad I almost can't justify picking him. I was really hoping he wasn't going to fall to me but he did and now I have an extraordinarily hard choice. I don't think people are going to be kind to my team if I end up taking this player because he's not the best defender in the world and he'd be on a team with several porous defenders. Let me deliberate for a while and come back.

 That's actually not who I had in mind. In fact, I would say you really flopped with that guess.

After thorough deliberation, I've decided against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and will instead be striving for roster balance over loading up on more offense, which I can't afford given the defensive penalty. So with that in mind I'm taking Andre Iguodala.

Terror defensively on the wing. Peaked as the best defensive perimeter player of the current era. Provides secondary ball handling and brilliant playmaking. Tremendous finisher on the break and decent shooter on the whole. Underrated player in general, and low key brilliant in terms of vision and IQ. Fits my team like a glove, and just one of my favorite players in general (I'm very happy that a lot of my favorite players are ending up on my team).
