Congrats to Craig, well deserved win.
About weekly/daily lineups, let's sit on it awhile, we can discuss it around June or so. I think our first priority should be selecting a new commissioner. Then, if he doesnt mind keeping up with IL during the season, then we can continue with daily lineups.

Re: FFL 2009-10 [Champion: sly!]
Streaming gets worse in the playoffs. If you are about to be knocked out in a close battle, you don't mind losing a player or two to try and get you over the hump. Sure, it hurts you for the next round, but, it's better than losing. So, the incentive to stream is huge.
But, if we all are in agreement that it's just part of the game, I'll just get off my high horse and start utilizing streaming to the fullest.

Craig, Can you let us know pretty quick whether we're going to weekly lineups? I'd like to start up a new league if you decide to go weekly, and the more time to recruit, the better. Gracias amigo.

I'm in favor of daily lineups as well. Don't change it.
we can lose the injury list all together if it's necessary

Alright, I guess weekly lineups are out of the question. I like the idea of 'doing away' with the IL. Maybe we could add one or two more draft spots... to help compensate for injuries, to better reward a good drafter...

I agree with this idea...though we may have to consider timeliness of the draft this year. It usually gets a lot slower around picks 220-260, adding in another 40 picks would probably throw in a couple of weeks drafting.

Congrats Sly! I too like daily lineups and like the idea of no IL but opening up two additional roster spots to account for injuries. When are we starting up again? I can't wait!!!

Even better. We should expand to 30 teams and have 14 players per team.
Waive wire? What waiver wire?

Re: FFL 2009-10 [Champion: sly!]
Clearly Wes isn't very confident in picking late in the draft! Also, if you're complaining about 'streaming', wouldn't you want less talent available on the wire?
Regardless, if we do away from the IL and add two extra roster spots that maybe adds, what? ... 25 extra players when all is said and done?

2X20 = 40.
Good point on streaming. Then again it might hurt as it'll be easier to drop guys as well.

But you're not accounting for the list of players on the IL [who are replaced by wire players]. It'll even out more than that during the season. And the weaker the talent, the more it hurts your roster. You're getting mostly turnovers and DNP-CD's for very few stats...

Good point Craig, We'll still be scrounging for waiver talent at the end of the draft, but I do think it's a good solution though. I'm in favor of the extra 2 roster spots...

I don't quite understand why we're doing away the IL in the first place, but even then I think only 1 additional roster spot would be enough. Adding 2 spots is just too much.

Why not just make the IL self-policing?
This league has been great for many years. Why are we changing anything at all? I just don't know how interested I'd be in a 20 team league of 15 players each. At some point, it's just ridiculous.

I have to agree that the self-policing IL has worked fine for quite some time. Sure, there have been a couple of flubs each year, but I don't think it requires making wholesale changes to the league.

Re: FFL 2009-10 [Champion: sly!]
I don't think we need an extra spot if we drop IL
the thing is, let's say an average team gets 600 points, 200 rebounds, 120 assists per week
once your top picks gets injured those numbers dake a dip it will be like 520 points and 150 rebounds or 90 assists
so an extra pick at 270 will probably give you 15 points 12 rebounds or 7-8 assists per week
the question is do those statistics compensate the injury enough for us to deplete the waiver wire completely, so that there will almost be no moves made by the teams?

They do if that "guy" is the injured guy's replacement: Case in point: Darren Collison. He was worthy of a top 10 draft pick down the stretch thanks to CP3's injury.
At this point, I'm not convinced we actually need to change anything. We're a pretty tight group and we know what we expect of each other. Messing with the system just adds another level of unnecessary confusion. Self-policing IL has worked fairly well. Sure, a few bumps down the road, but it just required a rule clarification (i.e. dropping a player ON the day of the game he missed as opposed to after he officially missed the game).
