floppy... we're in the process of finding a GM in the FFDL; we haven't got to this league yet, just so you know. This league [FFL] is an annual league, full draft. The FFDL is the dynasty league that I pm'd you about....

ah, I'm in the wrong thread. Sorry.

Are the answers to my questions different for the other league?

Which is a serious flaw :violin:

Hopefully it's going to be a 8-team playoffs this year, as voted for by the majority (still bitter) I would also be REALLY GLAD if we can move the draft a few days/a week earlier this time.

Hello. Can we decide on who will be commishing the league this year yet? Writer's Block and Bww were up for it the last I checked. I'm fine with either.
Last year's draft started on July 24th, which is only 12 days from today. We might be a bit behind schedule.

I can't wait... this year will be so much fun with all of the player movement. I too am cool with either WB or BWW being commish. Agreed we should decide ASAP so we can finalize managers and pick a draft start date.

Now that I'm taking on commishing duties for the FFDL, I am fine deferring to BWW on commishing this league. Either way is fine, and I'll let Craig decide on this one.

So I assume BWW is the guy? We should finalize the manager list ASAP if we plan to start drafting in the coming weeks. I am anxious to get the draft started... lets get moving ;)

I'm mostly AWOL until late August. I have time for drafts and such; but, can't check in regularly or dedicate time to commish. Thankfully Blake is able to run the league and Brian the FFDL. If anything controversial comes up, I'll pop by head up :)

Great, thanks Craig.

So, jumping right in...

I'd like to get our draft started sometime mid-August. With that in mind, we'll run our lottery sometime at the first of August. There's still a fair amount of free agency to play itself out in the NBA, and I don't want to start our draft until we have a better idea of how all of that is going to shake out.

As for other issues, such as number of playoff teams, add/drop limits, divisions and conferences, etc, now's the time to make your voice known. If there are some real defined and disparate opinions, we can certainly put issues to a vote.

Let me know your thoughts.

I think something around August 20th is a good date to start the draft.

I'm voting for 8-team playoffs, no divisions/conferences, with add/drop limits an IL rules staying the same.

I have to agree with Woody, 8 team playoffs would be ideal. I didn't like the add-drop limit last year, but it's not a sticking point for me.

I like an early to middle of August start-up.

Draft can take place anytime for me. As for rules, 8 playoff teams and no divisions. If we have an add/drop restriction, I'd prefer weekly. Keep the IL rules as they are (but I wouldn't object if we got rid of IL). And obviously, I'm in for next season.

In

Draft time early to middle of August start-up would be nice.

Add drop restriction on a weekly basis (like 3 or 4 moves per week)

IL rules can stay the same
