The options at small forward who will contribute in every statistical category on a higher than average basis were Batum, Hayward, Leonard, and a few others. Hayward is going to be getting bumped up to at least 36 minutes a game (probably more considering he has no true backup) and during the month he had that many minutes last year he averaged:
19 ppg, 4 rpb, 3.5 apg, 1 spg, 1 bpg all while shooting above 40% from 3. That was with Big Al Jefferson taking touches away from Hayward. He did that all on 12 shots a game. So go ahead. Mock away. But I got one of the best small forwards who actually contributes to a ton of categories like Paul George, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant. He also will be statistically better than Batum and Leonard.
Sorry, y'all. Math is hard sometimes.
Even if your projection is true, the argument here is that you could have gotten him at least 20 spots or so later. Nobody would have drafted him until 35-40 at earliest so why not trade down / acquire a more highly ranked player and then pick Hayward with one of your later picks.
In the non-keeper FFL league, 11 of 14 managers from here are present and yet Hayward lasted until 72. Even with keeper league feature adding 20-25 spots to his value, that still makes him barely a top-50 pick, quite a distance from 15th pick.
Also him shooting 40% from 3 doesnt have any affect on here, 3pt% is not a scoring category. Furthermore Hayward got nearly 33,5 mpg after all-star break and he posted something along the lines of 15/4/4/1/0.5 bpg. Jefferson (and the other prominent Jazz frontcourt player's) departure could definitely help with the scoring but it could possibly come at the expense of efficiency (lower fg%, which wasnt very high to begin with and more turnovers as he will be asked to create more opportunities for himself).
Regardless of how you project him to, the fact that you spent a highly valuable 15th pick to pick a player whom you could most probably get with your next pick at 43 makes it a bad pick IMO. You could have moved down at least 15 spots, got huge gains with your later picks and still gotten the player you wanted.
