He was my second option behind KD. I just think that it's clear that Durant is a superior talent to Wade, but Wade has the more extensive playoff success.

My second option was Dirk, but there are a lot of Power Forwards that I think will be available further down the draft. 3 year window is tricky because 06 and 09 don't overlap.

Give me Dirk Nowitzki.

I'll go with Jerry West here.

Come on, not even a day passed.

I'd say if you don't pick in 24 hours you have to select a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

At this point I think it's fairly obvious, I have to go with Patrick Ewing '90-'92.

Crap. I blame all those stupid Ewing threads that popped up in the last 24 hours. I wanted to go on there and talk about how his knees were awful and he was overrated and then just hope he slipped.

Not sure about the rules. Could I choose this season as part of the 3 years even if the season is not finished?

and this draft is really slow. Hope we can make it a little bit faster somehow

Just a thought, but I wonder if one of the mods would consent to having this thread stickied to the top of the forum page.

Um, Looks like it's my turn then...

Anyway, the #4 guy on my draft board is still here, so I'm taking the best offensive anchor available, Steve Nash. We've seen that in the right context 05-07 Nash can provide GOAT-level offense, so I'm gonna try and build the right pieces around him to make that work. Probably gonna be a little tougher than with some of the bigs, but I'm up for the challenge.

Yea, this year can be part of the 3 year window.

And I don't think it's that slow... I have school and work so I probably check RealGM twice a day at most. I'm sure other posters are busy too. I don't see what the rush is.

with my first pick I'll go with Anthony Davis

Maybe this is a reach since he hasn't been playing in the playoffs yet and is only in his third season and it might backfire but I'm willing to take my chances. I really like what he can bring to my team. He is excellent defender, doesn't turnover the ball, rebounds well, best shot blocker in the league and steals a lot for a big guy. He has good midrange shot so he will spread the floor and is arguably the best player in the league today. Best thing about him is that he is great offball player

Ye maybe I am rushing a little bit too much. The reason is probably that I just finished my school, so at the moment I have a lot of free time.

When I think about it the draft is going fine :)

Should we run into this issue, perhaps if someone does not pick in 24 hours, we give the the highest available player from the RealGM top 100 list?

Bill Walton

Waltons 2 yr run in Portland is on par with MJs 2 best seasons for team winning %. He is the best defensive player left and will be a DPOY candidate. Waltons high post game, great passing and elbow jumper allow him to play with a low post scorer at PF or SF and still create excellent spacing. He is a team player and willing to defer to the hot hand or mismatch. Since my team runs the UCLA offense Walton fits right in as he is its master.

Walton is a good pick. I was thinking about him too, can I ask what years you selected? Obviously 77 and 78, but did you go with 76 for the third year? Or are you allowed to stretch it to 86 because of injury?
