theman

We cut down rosters in early May, as we always do.

The sad thing is you didn't even log in to see the updates for 2.5 months.

Activity is a bit of a problem with this league, and I can't be lenient.

But cut down last year was later in the year.

Was a date even given?

Since Alston is supposedly the obvious guy for my team to keep who are you going to trade to me for him since he is so valuable?

Hell, its not like the draft has even started.

From what I recall, I know that we've always had cut down before the draft lottery. Our lottery is around the same time as the NBA lottery as was the case the previous two seasons. I know Jordan posted dates with warnings that he would make cuts if not heard by the date. And I feel there were sufficient postings about it.

All the losers in this league should have to buy me (the winner) a gift. Then I will decide who got me the worst gift and replace them. This will continue as I continue to win.

NEW RULE - The Ricky Rubio Rule will be invoked, starting from this season...that player will have to miss 5 games before being transferred to your IL. At the end of the season, you must make a decision (eh, theman) to either keep him in your 15-man roster heading into next season, or drop him to the FA pool.

Remember, if you draft a player, you must create roster space to accommodate them; no-one will have a roster larger than 15 at any time...so when you make a pick, please either tell me who you will drop, or that you have made a trade. I understand this might not be as easy to do, so everyone will get 24 hours to make room on their roster for draft pick(s).

CLARIFICATION - When a manager drafts a player and drops another, the guy just dropped can be drafted by another manager, though the second manager would also have the roster space to accommodate them.

CLARIFICATION - The current rosters are on the first page of this thread, so that will be your point of reference.

All picks in this thread!

#1 - Blake Griffin

Not really the type of guy for my roster, but if he can stay healthy and improve his FT% over time, I'll be happy with this pick. Also, if I didn't make this pick, I'd be even more the laughing stock of this league, something I don't want happening.

I'll be dropping Javaris Crittenton.

#2 - James Harden

Yes...I was all ready to draft another guy...who we all know, and whose name rhymes with Licky Scooby-O. But 1) he burned me in another draft and 2) I'm not waiting for 2 years.

I think Harden will give me just as good all-around numbers as Scooby-O, but I'll get them this year, rather than 2011.

I'm dropping Jamaal Tinsley

You can hardly blame me. I need a guy who'll produce now. I have garbage on my team. Now, go ahead and pick Licky Scooby-O

I'll give you Crawford and two first rounders next year (Bdubs and my own) for it.

You're probably the only team that can afford to wait on Rubio and still win in the meantime.

Tough call, I wish I could turn back the clock a year and have the luxury of a #3 pick, taking a Memphis guard who is becoming an NBA star before our eyes.

I don't want to suck for another two years, so Tyreke Evans joins my team in a straight-swap with Beno Udrih.

Carl up.

What is the time limit on picks? Is it 12 hours?

I don't think anything was announced. But given that we're only going 28 rounds with a number of forfeits at the end, I'd think we can go 24 hours. It's up to Jordan I guess.

I vote for 12 hours, for obvious reasons.
