My preference is dynasty with NO redraft.
But I don't really care if we stay in the current keeper format. Either way is fine...

Re: FFKL
I'd really rather this league stayed keeper. For one thing, the draft is much longer and more fun, and it's much easier to makeover if/when you screwup the roster or find a new manager to replace somebody this way.
That and if there are enough people interested, we could always establish a brand new dynasty league anyway.

Re: FFKL
Recently there was a trade:
Woody got: AI
nos got Bynum+Gordon+Conley
If Woody knew this was going to be a dynasty, would he have made that trade?
This is my only gripe really.
I don't think we should completely re-draft for next season. We should allow the managers to keep, say, 3 regular, 1 rook and 1 soph. Maybe run a dispersal draft and a separate rookie draft.
If we start this season with no redrafting from now on, it is fine by me too.

Re: FFKL
TTGM voted for dynasty. That's 9 and a majority.
What happens to the league name? We can't have FFDL.
The re-draft vote is currently 6-6 with four votes remaining. We might have a deadlock.

You might want to check again, you counted TTGM twice...I believe the final voting is a deadlock...in which case the commish decides?

Honestly, Keeper is probably the easiest since people have traded to build their teams as it is. Either way, we're sticking with Keeper this season anyway...

KalElen voted for dynasty?
Anyway, I think dynasty will get too confusing to set up, and we're gonna have some discontent (perhaps).
Let's just keep it at the status quo and move on.

Re: FFKL
i originally voted for dynasty because we already played it as a keeper league and it failed to live up to my expectations, so i figured dynasty might help improve activity. however i've changed my mind because there is a chance i won't play next year (i repeat i'd really like to play this league for years to come, but for me to do so activity has to increase significantly compared to last season), so it makes little sense for me to draft a dynasty team and play just one year with it. people who remain in the league next year can easily decide to switch to dynasty and redraft next summer

this concludes the voting. final league settings will be:
head-to-head
keeper (4 regular keepers + potentially rookie keeper + potentially sophomore keeper)*
slow draft begins on the september 1st
rosters: pg, sg, g, sf, pf, f, c, c, ut, ut, bn, bn, bn
2 il spots with no restrictions
Max Moves: 40 for the regular season + 4/4/5 in the play-offs
Can't Cut List: yahoo default
Trade End Date: yahoo default
Trade Review: league vote
Trade Reject Time: 2 days
draft lottery based on: regular season standings
draft lottery system:
1% chance – top 2
2% chance - next 2
3% chance - next 2
9% chance – next 6 (consolation participants)
10% chance – bottom 4
*only players who were rookie keepers will be eligible to be sophomore keepers next year. however dropping or trading a rookie keeper makes him ineligible for being sophomore keeper. you can't have neither rookie nor sophomore keeper without drafting them and holding on to them
now i'm gonna make a new thread so i can keep all the info in the 1st post and edit the thread tittle when needed

To be frank ,it doesnt change anything for me at all if we go dynasty next season or keep it as a keeper league for eternity. If you think I (or Alci G) have advantage because we have those aforementioned players, then let me remind you that we will have those 4 players no matter what we decide on right now.We will keep them as keepers for this season and we will have them in our rosters in next off season again as our keepers (or part of our dynasty squad) unless we trade them So I dont see how it creates an advantage for us if we switch from keeper to dynasty league?
If we turn into dynasty format right now and keep our rosters as it is,then you would be totally right and I'd be IMO gaining huge advantage that's why nobody suggested that because it would be unfair to other gm's.
The point is fraan,no matter what happens,gm's with a better selection of top-4 players will have the same advantage over other gm's in both scenarios (dynasty/keeper).
nos i will try to explain
but will be verry difficult to me
well
its more difficult to choose the best 4 guys than to choose all team
u must gamble when u choose 4 guys
will u keep this season the PG of boston. Mr rondo with 4 keepers? hummm bad Ft but 6ast 1.4stl 5reb are nice numbers
will u keep him if it´s dinasty? sure
the picture i´m trying to give here is than weaker teams can take the advantage and this make the game even better.
nos
sure u have LBJ and DH
but would u make the trade AI vs b+g+mc
i don´t think so
others moves in the past are also bad so thats why i say If we change to Dinasty WE MUST redraft
because moves here made thinking this is a K.league and not a dinasty
but if u ask me i say keep this league a 4 keeper league

you are 100% right
nice trade for dinasty
not so good for a 4 keeper because this was only to get conley the rookie and if he doesn´t pay next season he is off. even if this is to get bynum that is not a certain thing
well if i did that trade i will probably say dinasty no redraft

Re: FFKL
Not so fast! We have to vote on a new name, vote for the draft start date, vote on whether or not to kick fraan out, vote on which order to vote in, debate on the relative merits of voting, followed by a vote. We don't have league colors, we need to vote on that. What's the leagues logo? Do we have mascots? One for the league, one per team? Vote, vote. Then we need to vote on using another forum during the season.
We've got a lot more voting! to do.

Re: FFKL
im happy we are finally done this voting stuff and focus soley on important things like trades and draft prep.
which by the way, i am open to trading my 4th pick. im having trouble deciding my 4th keeper (between Memo/Turkoglu) so if someone wants to make an offer for one of them lets talk.
i WAS going to drop J.O'Neal in favor of Turk, but now that he is a Raptor i will stick with him. plus i can watch him more closely now
Wade can be had with relatively no problems, but he is far from a garage sale. so to recap, if anyone needs a forward (Turk), centre (Memo), or guard (Wade) shoot me a PM or email.
