I have #41. Willing to move down to #60

Would prefer a jump from 224 to above 160 on the back end.

Will look at all offers.

I'm taking a page out of Wes' playbook, picking old guys and formerly injured guys. Ryan Anderson and Kobe, let's see how that works out for me.

I'm glad someone else is doing it so I'm not as tempted.

I'm REALLY going to try and avoid health risks this year though. As hard as that is for me.

I really dont think you needed to move up for Ryno. He was probably gonna be there at 44. I have two picks in between and he wasnt even on my radar.

I think that as well. I thought he would be a consideration for my pick at #51. Besides the fact he's coming back from injury, he's likely to be coming off the bench with Davis and Asik starting - with his minutes dropping to just under 30 mpg.

Yeah, I think everyone forgot about Ryno, but I didn't trade up to get him. 34 was my pick. I traded up for 35...but I took Kobe there. The way I saw it was that Kobe wouldn't last until 44. Maybe I was wrong...

wow I too think that it was an unnecessary trade up for Rhino. I thought he was gonna be there at 45-55 range.

Thanks, but to clarify: I didn't trade up for Rhino. I picked him with my own 34th pick.

Wow, that was really large text. :o

Wait, I'm confused.

Who did WB trade up to get? Ryan Andersen?

umm no. You traded up for whichever player you picked with the larger ADP.

if you insist that you traded up for Kobe, ok that's fine by me but then you made a big reach at the pick 34.

whichever way you look at it, it doesn't look good.

Um, why would I have to trade up for a pick I already own? That's not making much sense. I traded up to 35 to get a big scorer with good %s to pair with Ryan Anderson (kobe), because Anderson is who I was targeting at 34, whether smart or not. As far as I can tell though, he has every chance to put up top 20 numbers, so I'm not second-guessing that pick. Technically, literally, figuratively, and specifically, I traded up to get Kobe, plain and simple, because I already had pick 34( Ryno) and didn't have pick 35 (Kobe).

If you want to be technical about it, I actually traded DOWN to get Ryan Anderson and Kobe Bryant for Steph Curry, since I got pick 34 (Ryno) and 47 (traded to get pick 35 for Kobe).

As for the "pretty bad pick at 34" comment, I don't see how you figure. According to reports, he's back on the court, and should be ready to go by training camp, and he's one of the few guys left on the board with the potential to be top 20. Sure, I could have waited to get him at 47 and taken Kobe at 34, but I didn't want to take the risk of missing out on drafting him since managers in this league are quite unpredictable. The sacrifice? A drop from 67 to 86, and that's not much of a difference as guys picked in the 60s and the 80s are pretty similar in value.

If it blows up on me, no big deal, I'll just have to rethink my strategy while relaxing on a gondola in the Grand Canal of Venice. 8-)

you made a bad pick I mean value wise. If you somehow wanna trade him away before the exhibition games, I don't think you can get equal value. and you really have no idea how good the guy will return. He had excruciating pain in his arms and fingers even after his injury. That's scary.

Don't get me wrong, I love Anderson and his fantasy value. and I'm sure many people, including me would have called Ryno a good pick at 47. That's all.

btw, when you say "I could have waited to get him at 47 and taken Kobe at 34" that means you actually traded up for Ryno, not Kobe. A manager usually trades up for whichever player has the least chance of sliding. In your case that is Kobe. That's why people say you traded up for Ryno and not Kobe. Hope now you understand =)

Hmmm...maybe if I didn't have 34 already, but when I say things like "I was targeting Ryno at 34" I don't see how it can be any clearer that I didn't trade up to get Ryno. I traded up to get someone to pair WITH Ryno (Kobe). Either way, I think you're muddling up this whole discussion...and, to be honest, people aren't saying I traded up for Ryno, it's pretty much just you. :D

The argument you should be making is that trading up to 35 to get Kobe might've been a bad deal. Because that argument is much easier for you to make without using the circular reasoning you're using now. 8-)

FWIW, if you want to argue that Ryno wasn't a good pick at 34, then you'd also have a much clearer and easier argument. I took a big swing at 34, and it could fail. Yes, his injury was huge, but I read the reports and I feel like he'll be ok.

Either way, though, yes, we must be really bored...
