btw I think Lowry might be a steal but I like the thrill of surprises and Kanter can be a very sweet pick. at 66 a 16-10 guy with great percentages is very hard to come by. of course that is, IF he can accomplish that

kanter will be 25-20 guy with top 3 %

I was hoping amir would fall to me. I knew he wouldn't, but then Lowery did so who knows.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I don't know if you've watched Kanter but he has a much much more polished offensive game then Favors so Jazz will have to dump the ball to him constantly. And he's a beast in rebounds as well. He definitely has the tools to get 16-10 but let's see if he can adapt to 32-33 mpg, coming from 15.

anyway he's a homer pick, just because of that I hope he does well. I wonder what Jazzfan thinks about it. hopefully his projections are same as mine :-?

No, I don't drink, and I woke up about an hour ago (I feel pretty awake), so I have to blame this pick on sheer lunacy, extreme homerism (I'm a Terp), or simply a hunch. I think this guy is going to be great in Sacramento, even if I can't find a mock that puts him anywhere near this point. The guy nearly led the league in assists...on a really bad team last year. Now he has Cousins and other big scoring options, plus new Kings' coach is calling him the new face of the franchise and raving about him as a multi-position player. Even if you take the Kings' comments as pure PR, he's better than PGs that went/are going earlier (i.e. lowry), so I'm wondering what the hesitation is...
Either way, if there's a bump in picking Vasquez in leagues after this, you can thank me/blame me.

forget everything you know, everything you saw.
Can you spell T A N K? and B L O W O U T?
guys like favors, kanter, gordon, bledsoe will not have the season alot of us expect.
they will have good games, they will put numbers in but their ceiling is going to be the place where they were picked.
by saying this kanter will be 12-10/7-8 at their best in the end of the season

I think it's because lots of other PGs don't have much for depth behind them. Sacramento is kind of a mess.

Your pick reinforced mine though, as I don't think another PG would've fallen to 98.
I went with Nash because I've decided to gamble on great stat mixed in with lots of DNPs...I hate this strategy, but I'm sort of doing what the draft is giving me. I went "safe" last year and it didn't make a difference.

And I agree with Fran, There have been about 5 high upside bigs taken really early here. If you want to be able to brag about being the one who "called it", you have to reach for the moon in a 20 team format...or your guy likely wont make it back to you.

That's just it though, the only guys behind him are a guy who couldn't get off the bench most of the year and a rook who is an Sg not really a pg.
The other pg I was going to pick has a guy who outplayed him down the stretch... Nash was another option but with injury issues and the fact that he's like 45, I couldn't do it.

Great pick. If WB would have traded with me Pierce is who I would have taken.

I thought about Pierce but I can't stand him so I can't root for him and can't pick him

Jason Kidd openly talked about their plans of sitting Garnett in second games of back-to-backs. It's also very easy to imagine that they would limit Pierce's minutes and/or rest him occasionally given that the Nets are deep enough to afford this during regular season.
