In other news, we are three days ahead of last year's draft.

It's a good gamble though. Well at least for my opinion. Doesn't look like a "reach" at this position.

I thought he had already been picked. And had to check.

Right now we are at 7.4 picks a day pace and at 95th pick. Which means when the preseason starts, we will be at pick 199. Which consequently means that whoever is on the clock will be able to pick any player that performs well in the preseason.

Can we please implement 5 or 6 hour picking immediately?

I have three picks in a row coming up, twice. That will speed things up.

If we want to finish before the start of the preseason, we need to pick things up.

So please start sending lists and also explore trade options /prepare your shortlist before you are on the clock.

If there is no change in the pace in the next couple of days, pick per time will be reduced to 6 hours.

Your last 3 picks:
Chandler Parsons - 7 hours 56 minutes
Ryan Anderson - 7 hours 59 minutes
Jeremy Lin - 5 hours 48 minutes

So please start sending lists or preparing your shortlists for your picks beforehand instead of forcing us to reduce pick per time.

The goal is to finish the draft before preseason. Last year's draft was a failure in that regard and I dont consider that failure as a benchmark for us.

I have used a total of 17 or my allotted 40 hours to make 7 picks for an average of 2:26 per picks. And that is despite Insfo constantly picking in the middle of the night.

If I ever get the chance to implement slow drafts, you will be able to get a push notification to the mobile app that you are on the clock. And you will be able to set your player queue, so there won't be a need to pass lists around.

Are people sending an email to the next man up?

I am trying to. I forgot once or twice.

I have a couple of times, but I've had to wait the full 8 for the player in front of me a couple of times and pick at 3am, in which case I:
1) forget to email
2) figure the next player should be checking frequently anyway at that point. it's not like a bunch of picks have just flown by.

I'll try to send anyway, though. I've only received one on-the-clock message myself.
