Yep, my season is officially shot. I was banking on being able to just barely survive with Rose and Rubio until I make a push for the playoffs, but Dirk's injury has sunk my hopes.

BTW, Dirk is available on the cheap.

Dirks injury cost WB even more injury grief. no trades to report just adds/drops.

I went up 4 spots. That's good to see.

I think WB will drop Rose at some point.

It's possible, maybe even likely with Dirk going down, but that's the nice thing about picking Rose in the 140s. In this league, there's usually a guy or 2 on waivers you can get who'll get you production around the 140-160 range. So the Rose pick at that point wasn't as risky as everyone is touting it to be.

You think? I think it's hard in this league. Timing is certainly a factor.

Dirk going down was going to hurt his owner. Love going down will hurt his owner. Injuries happen and u play shorthanded until they (hopefully) return. Anybody on the WW will outscore Rose he is guaranteed ZERO until/if he returns. Writerblock put his team on a fine edge drafting Rubio, Rose who were both out at the time of the draft. Harrington was less sure but was not healthy either. But Dirk really sunk him and the season has yet to even start. Ouch. It is a double whammy for RealGM cause they don't get to fatten their records up against him.

Actually, yeah, I do think so. It happens every year. Last year I got Marshon Brooks off the wire and he provided value you'd expect in the 150s/160s.

When I drafted Rubio, I think the timeline was late Nov, early December, or so I thought it was. One month without arguably one of the best young PGs in the league wasn't too long to wait. His prognosis has pushed him to late December since I picked him. Similar issue with Harrington: He was supposed to be back by opening day...now it's mid December.

So far almost every injury occurred to a realgm team (except eric gordon).

Wall, Dirk, Granger, Amare, Nene, Rush, Hedo... SMH

I know, right... but we knew about granger and especially nene. We even talked about nene and I told you that I wouldn't touch him because of plantar fasciitis. Granger on the other hand was taking it slow because of his injury but it never seemed like he was gonna miss time with it.

wall-dirk-amare-hedo and rush were all out of the blue though.

I don't think there is even a slight chance that we're gonna be contending this year.

I had no worries about Granger.

Nene was somewhat risky but at 72, the reward far outweighed the risk.

I'm surprised Red cut Bismack loose so soon, I think that will prove to be a bit premature but we'll see.

Glad to be rid of the worst pick of my draft as I always felt I reached for him after my two center targets were picked before me (Valanciunas and Asik). However, good luck to you on your newest acquisition.

Dropping Drummond has been the biggest surprise so far this season.

Wasting my top tier waiver priority on him may be the next biggest surprise.

Dropping Drummond was not done easily. but the guy is mostly useless on a per night basis. Hope u enjoy him and no way will I use the 1 waiver when u cut Drummond in a week.

That's ok, I'm sure you'll be using your waiver on some guy who's totally not worth it too. 8-)

You know what's sad? I put him on my waiver thinking I would wait and see if he had another good game, and then cancel the waiver if he sucked that next game. Unfortunately, he sucked, but I didn't get to my computer in time to cancel it.

So far my team is holding its own despite missing Nene and Wall. Hopefully I'll be able to stay above 50% until Wall comes back.
