Frankly Jordan, you're the last person in this league who should be criticizing anyone else for trading.

I thought about drafting him. He was definitely on the board but I think Hibbert will be more valuable.

I like Hibbert. You can't teach height, I expect him to show something this year.

Yeah, I made a few waiver moves -- picking up Duhon, Robin Lopez, Brandon Bass, and Joe Alexander. All have a pretty decent shot at starting and making good contributions as I need some production because I'm not sure Thabeet and Gerald Henderson will do much this upcoming season.

Moving on...it is such a poor trade by a desperate Brian, he's better than that. I'm just amazed how he went from 2nd in Season 1, to being in a position where he is right now.

Didn't you trade Jermaine O'Neal for some ping pong balls?

Look, I'm not proud of some of my previous trades; I was the architect of my two 14th placings...

The Yao Ming trade makes me sick to this day, although his foot problems have softened the blow somewhat.

That said, Jermaine O'Neal even in 2007 was washed up, and those ping pong balls ended up being the #5 pick, which IIRC I traded for Chris Kaman and the #9 pick.

No, you traded Calderon and 5 for Kaman and 9. Another great trade by me.

Edit: Actually I dont think it was the 9th pick. I actually think the deal was Calderon and 5 for Kaman and 4, or something like that. So not so bad.

I hardly think you're in a position to talk about my decline. Didn't your team bring new meaning to the term "dead last" last year?

And Jordan, while I'm on the subject of predictions and assessments...weren't you the one who said I'd finish dead last last year? And that BWW's team would tank in FFL? How did those predictions work out for you?

The only reason why my team was 2nd in the first year we played was because everyone drafted for the future. Blake and I drafted the best guys THEN, and we slaughtered everyone else. I went for future after that, and I may have been an also-ran, but I went from loser to consolation champion. Next step: playoff contender....

How's your team doing? Will you be dropping your draft pick this next offseason too?

I'll admit that I could've approached my entry into this league a bit better, and I think I am a better fantasy manager now than when I started.

I went for sold run-of-the-mill guys who led me to a credible 6th in season 1, but the damage I did for my future was irreparable. My team consisted of guys like Parker, Hamilton, Gooden, JO, Posey, Haslem et al; all guys who had no big upside, and three years down the track, none of them are real stars. I've paid a heavy price for that in the past two years.

I've had nothing to work with over the past two seasons, so it's no surprise I came last. I don't think you can consider me an under-achieving manager in FFDL, when I haven't exactly had lofty expectations. I would think theman is an underachiever, when he has had a strong lineup since you guys started, but hasn't won a championship, or made even a final yet.

I have no idea what your team looked like in Season 1, but I'm sure you had a strong team. Blake's managed to stay competitive, winning a couple of titles, whilst all you are crowing about is your consolation-championship.

And for the record, I didn't say bww78 would tank. Here:
bww78
Predicted Finish: Mid table

The Good: FG%, FT%, AST, BLK
The Bad: REB, ST, PTS, 3PTM
Touchy: ST
Draft Review: No-one could beat Wade, West and Durant for a front-three. After that I just think Blake again went 'back to the future' with safe and no-longer upside picks. Watson at 125 will be a pick he will need to forget about in a hurry, but apart from that it's a decent team catering for his strengths.
Verdict: The 'invincibility' is gone.

You will see that a lot of what I said about Blake was true. No-one could beat Wade/West/Durant. Blake was building the whole season, but he wasn't even in the top-6 after Week 20, before his fairytale run. Had he started his run a little later, my prediction is 100% accurate. It was a great comeback win for Blake last year and I have only respect for him. Ironically it was Blake himself that said it was a 'fair analysis' at the time.

It doesn't take away from the fact that you made another bad trade IMO.

HA! But it does...Your predictions are rarely right, especially about my team...which you curiously ignored to refute from my last post. Until your team does better than last in this league...I'll rest my case.
