I think this was suggested last year.

I proposed that change last year. I think it's not logical to force such strict roster positions when the league is 20 teams deep.

sabonis wrote:I have a proposition as well. Can't we give a live 3.5 hour auction draft a try? Is it impossible for some people to give 3 hours of their time? Like if your friends/wife ask you to go out you just say I have plans/work for 3 hours. Of course barring some real emergency situation...
As a European I'm willing to stay up at 2-3-4 am.

and what do you guys think of this?

1) I'm ok with the auction-style FA.
2)I'm on the fence about the Utility spots. The original intention was that you had to be super strategic, and trade/draft correctly so as not to waste a roster spot. But a utility spot makes sense in a league this large. If it takes away the competition/strategy, though, then I'm against it.
3) Live Draft? Too hard for me. I don't have 3.5 hours to give to anything, sorry.

I'm out this year unless it's a live draft.

In. I’ll take #3 as my lotto ball.

For the poll
A) YES (picking draft spots based on lotto results)
B) YES (No trades during draft).

As for the other suggestions,
1) Continous waivers - I would vote no on this if it were up for discussion. I prefer the default system to add players for the next day
2) 2 Util spots instead of one G & F. I would be in favor of this

I'm in.

Not sure what all we are voting on but I vote on keeping things as same as possible. Although I do like the IL.

A - Yes (I was thinking of suggesting this)
B - Yes (I was going to vote no but we need to protect WritersBlock from himself).
Util - No. I think it forces GMs to be more strategic.
2IL - YES. Smaller FA pool means less streaming.

Give me ball #4.

3Si wrote:In give me the next smallest number. Currently in Barcelona limited time online.

I think this gives 3Si #2.

Draft took one month to complete last year and the season kicks off on Oct 16.... so will need to start the draft ASAP (if it is to be held offline as usual). Who are we waiting on to check in? I think we need to get lotto order confirmed and start the draft by end of next week - giving us a buffer in case it takes longer than expected.

If there are no trades (currently winning 8-5) draft will be drastically faster.

But trades were a lot of fun.

Another reason we need to start sooner than later. It's taken 2 weeks to get everyone to check in. We now will have get everyone to choose their draft spot following the lottery.
