You have a good chance. Tim Duncan is expected to receive regular nights off the rest of the way.

Ironically I was facing VaticnAssassinWarlks last week, and might have won 7-2 (instead of 6-3) if I hadn't lost 4 player-games due to oversleeping both saturday and sunday (or if I had the forsight to set lineups at least a day in advance). If I had, I would be 3rd instead of 4th and you would be facing VaticnAssassinWarlks.

And in fact Timmy goes down with an ankle injury 4 minutes into today's game. He'll likely be out for most of this week, maybe more.

Hey guys. As we wind down this season, I just wanted to let you know how enjoyable this season was. No big time arguments, some good clean fun. Thanks for the fun season. I hate to be a one-and-done lame duck, but I will not be taking on the commish role this next year. I'm bowing out of the commish role, and I'm also bowing out of the league. As one of the original members of this league, I have to say that it's been a really enjoyable ride. This a great group of fantasy managers (yes even you Karl...well at least most of the time). I think I know how Coady felt last year when he said that his time had come...and I think mine has as well. Thanks for the fun everyone, and a very special thanks to Craig. An amazing commish through and through. Truly, if it weren't for Craig, I don't think my fantasy bball experience would have been half as fun. Brilliant job Craig on running such a great league these last several years.

I'm sorry that you'll be leaving. You've been a great competitor and responsible for at least 2/3 of my trades. :) I think my trades with you to get Kobe and Baron back in 2007 lead to my only championship in this league. Now who will I be able to trade with?

ha!

Why trade when you can just have my guys? 8-) J/K

Seriously though, our little trading ring has been fun. Coady and I used to joke that we just kept swapping players between you, me, BWW, and East.

Hate to see you go. It's good to keep the originals around. It would be like the Bruins leaving the NHL. Not to mention be are losing the all time winnings consolation round champion. :-?

I really like this league and hope it holds together. I would like to suggest with all the changes we are going to be going through that we extend the cut down date until after the new managers have been added so they can choose who to keep.

I'd want to wait on cut-down dates until we know when the NBA season will start since a lockout is possible.

Well, as far as I see it, I'm still the commish, even if I'm lame duck. So as commish, I'd set the rule as: Cut downs must be made by 12:01 AM of the day of the draft (essentially then, the day before the draft).

Duncan out indefinitely. I think that seals the deal.

Which draft? The NBA draft or the FFDL free agent/rookie draft. I'd opt for the latter with that one to be decided once we know when next season will start.

Should I even make it past this the round, I don't like my chances if Love gets shut down. My IL is already full with Oden and Varejao, and Blatche is hurt with no timetable for return (sounds like at least two more games).

Sorry, should have been more specific: FFDL. I never thought it made sense to have a cut off date different than the start of the draft. Everyone forgets who's been cut and who hasn't.

Almost every category is up for grabs between me and theman. It could be 7-2 either direction.

Some competitive first week match-ups. Blake decided not to set his lineup and George looks set to give the championship another shake (though injuries could kill him).

And dynamoose and theman having a battle royale too.

Going up against Carl will be tough. Injuries will be the key. I've got Rondo, Blatche, and Love injured. Love might be back as he's practicing but I don't know the status of Rondo or Blatche. I think I would've won this week 6-3 or 5-4 anyway if Blake had set his line up.

So I survived the first round without Duncan. I don't like the idea of going against east's team without him though. :eek2: :ouch:

east has finally lived up to expectation. He was the biggest underachiever of the league for a long time, until this season. It will be tough, but it should be close.

Carl looks the goods in the other semi-final, but it was this match-up a few years ago which saw George do the unthinkable and win (and then go onto to win the championship). Same happened last year when Coady got dumped out by AlciG in an upset.

It was nice to be back in the playoffs. Too bad we had to go out the way we did. Things looked good early in the week but turned really bad over the weekend. Way too many bad shot. Injuries didn't help either as David West missed the last half of the week and Corey Maggette played 2 ineffective minutes.

[rant]Why dumb ***, I could have moved him to the IL but Noooo you had to play him.[/rant]

Well, we will do our best in this next round.
