Actually, I think you may be right about that. Too bad it's really the only rankings to go off of right now.

 Ok, well, it must be a commonly used one since our draft has followed it to some extent.

Of course, having 7 more ranks isn't necessarily a good thing. Ranks do hold value in terms of getting an idea of when other people might draft someone.

Stop gap or no, big baby and his dumb ass will get stats. A team full of stop gaps is a scary team.

Well, crap on a stick. I was gonna draft JR Smith. Might have saved me from myself though, there are some interesting positional battles gonna take place in NY. Smith might find his way into the doghouse. He's done it before.

I'm afraid my next pick is going to be quite dull.

Almost took Smith with my pick, but figured Allen was safer.

JR vs. Ray: That's a toss up really. I'd go Ray first too probably, he's going to be getting A LOT of open looks behind the 3 point line in Miami, but that's all he'll probably do. JR might do more all around.

I decided to not go with a booring pick after all. I quite like Asik as a player, I hope his coach does as well. I think if he gets minutes it's going to be a good pick. IF they play Nellie ball, well.... A waste.

Just a lot of question marks on players at this point in the draft.

So Wes, where's that boring pick you were talking about? Asik is major upside, but major uncertainty too.

Houston currently has 20 men on its roster. No clue who ends up on the active 15.

I don't know. They actually went out and signed Asik with an over-priced offer. I'm fairly certain that with the 20, Asik is one of the guys they're planning on playing and starting. I had him on my sleeper list and was hoping he'd drop to 136.

Well, there was a journeyman vet who looked to have landed on a team that could use him in a big way. But, when I went over to the team forum on Realgm to see what the fans thought, they were thinking they had two younger guys who were even better. Since it was a rebuilding team I figured they might be right, that team might go with youth, even if the youth isn't quite as good as the fans think it is.

So, I decided against him.

and with Bogut and Asik combined I might get as many blocks as Ibaka does on his own. Maybe.

I know exactly who you're talking about, and I passed on him as well for similar reasons.

Anyone else excited as all get out to draft in the 14th round?

Too bad towel waiving isn't a stat.

AMen to that Wes.

If I have enough room to make a 14th round pick, I'm seriously just going to make up a name and draft him. [shhh...but I'm targeting Jaroydian Willaredicic, I've heard he's going to be big]
