Make the line the midpoint of our predictions (29vs45 = 37) and you are on. I was likely going to push them up to 31 when I distribute the 3 wins that got rounded off around the league, but I'll leave it at 29 for purposes of the wager.

Well, one injury and I'm toast. But, I think it's a reasonable wager.

If they win 37 or more I get a swap option to trade all our picks next year
IF they win 36 or less You get a swap option to trade all our picks next year

If you agree just quote.

Marcus stinkin smart. I've been wrong on where PGs would go all draft. I thought Burke would slide to me, wrong. I thought Beverly would slide to me, wrong. I thought for God's sake Elfrid would slide to me. Wrong.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.

Pgs have been drafting at a premium this season IMHO. I just didn't adapt in time, so I'm stuck drafting a rookie who plays behind a cornerstone like Rondo.

NOt good. I'm basically banking on a Rondo trade at this point. (or another injury) Not a good way to run a war if you ask me.

based to what I've watched and read even with a trade, fantasy-wise Marcus Smart is not very likely to crack top 100

I don't know about that. If Rondo is gone his steals and rebounds and probably blocks will be very good for his position. To the right team he could have considerable value based on that alone.

I think he's going to be a better H2H than Roto player to be sure.

Really? I started the league at the top and finished a game or two outside of the top 8. I also had one of the longer making-the-playoff streaks in the league. Are you sure you know which team is mine? I was time lords last year. This year I'm Mambas and Mormons, since my team has a Mamba and a Mormon ;)

Good thing he wasn't taken in the top 100.

I can think of a couple of PGs worth taking before Smart, but there is some potential with Rondo's health and potential trade. I do think Wes is turning over a new leaf. I mean how many times have you seen him pick someone with less than 3 years experience in the league?

That they make you lose a bet?

I think they will either be last in the west, or very close to it.

No way they're last in the west, not in a conference with the Jazz and the Kings. Heck, even without Kobe last year, they weren't last in the West. I'd bet they won't be last or 2nd to last this year.

First we have to have a disagreement worth wagering over. I have them last, but Kings and Jazz are close. I'm only interested in wagering with someone who sees them well out of the bottom 3. Otherwise we aren't really disagreeing by enough to matter. Wes and I had a wide distance between us on the Hornets. Do you and I have a wide distance between us on the Lakers?

I like your odds this year a lot more than last year. I feel a little guilty about last year's bet.

meh. the numbers are preliminary. i gave a number for Wes because I know he picked his number honestly, rather than to manipulate a line; and we've had similar wagers in the past.

you can either wait for the final numbers when Wes and I are done with all the writeups, or you can give me your number now and let me see that it is actually something i would bother wagering against.
